  4. A couple nice pictures of the Bell 47's not too many of them around. So you're a pilot eh? I'm sorry to hear that... you're one of those guys that keeps making work for me so I don't complain too much. I'm an AME here in Canada, which is an overly quailified version of The American A&P Tech. Good to see another one of the Aviation folk driving a Comanche.
  5. ok I see what's going on here then... mine just had the bolt hole at the bottom, without the tab there.. plus on mine someone drilled another hole so that's how I got the impression that there was a mounting bracket.. to me , it makes sense to have the push bar tied into the frame somehow, and I guess having it tied into the bumper is basically the same thing as tying it into the frame.. but I guess I'm going to have to make something to have it tied into both.. thanks alot for the picture!! answered alot of my questions
  6. well I guess mines a wee bit different then cause it's designed to fit around the stock front bumper, but doesn't meet up with the frame, not even close, which made me think there was seperate brackets used to attach it. If your's is all one peice, than I would love to see those pictures, and just try to fab something up similar to that. Thanks~!

Hey Guys, I've reciently come across a push bar from a cherokee but don't have the brackets to mount it to the frame.. so I'm going to fab some up.. but seeing as how I'm quite a distance from the truck and can't get out to do the measurements myself.. I was wondering if anyone knew off hand the dimensions for the brackets, or have a detailed drawing of them.. or has even made then reciently.. and still had the plans.. any assistance would be awesome thanks guys!

  10. Try to keep that in check there. That jazz is pretty much unnessary. Well I pulled out with: -$40 GC @ future shop -a cool mug set with oak in bed serving tray -Rediciously expensive hot chocalate (was appearently like $30 for about 350g) -stratch ticket -tons of baked goods and chocalates -ALL the left overs from the Christmas feast with the fam! I'm talkin cosmic proportions
  11. Is there a difference between a 4wd ax15 and an 2wd ax15? Cause I was entertaining the idea of swaping one in place of my aw4 4x4 4.0, I know there are other things I would need to consider about the swap, but just wondering.. cause there is one in my area for like $50, with bell housing, clutch and flywheel and I'm not shy about tearin in to her, for a rebuild, if I could use it... also maybe you know off hand any threads regarding the topic.. I've done a few searches seems to come up with much...

  14. That would be ME for the win there. I had the glass fix.. just pulled the window, and took an old window I had chillin around and had it cut to size, and it was the right thichness too! $20 bucks! ;)
  15. LOL yeah no doubt.. but all I did was smash the slinding window to unlock the doors (yeah I know I was in a rush) put the t-case in neutral and away we went! Ohh yeah I'm in the market for a sliding back window too LOL

Got the truck pulled back to my place on a flatbed, but I'm going to try to get the key code and see if I can get a key from the dealship, or a local locksmith, as well as the doors... while I'm at it I think a second set of keys is in order. thanks for the offers for the ignition lock sets,if it's not possible to get something from the dealership, I might have to takeyou up on the on it. :)

Well, I went on quite the bender the other night and my jacket was stolen at the bar, the only set of keys to the comanche was in there :( Now I'm about to get it towed to my house but I would need the keys to put it into netrual so that it can be towed on a flatbed... a flat bed is my only option right now that's all the company has available until next friday... anyone know a way for me to get it into netrual without the keys? 4.0 AW4 4x4 thank you in advance for the help!
  19. Yeah I agree with pete... if the bed is rust free... you should be finding a new home for it.. don't be one of those meat heads that destroys a perfectly good box.. cause he wants it outta his garage NOW
