  1. I had one and I couldnt give it away, I finally tossed it...
  2. Wondering if that's the reason he doesn't have a hood on it or its because he can't keep that many ponies under the hood from sweating.....
  3. Completely missed it!
  4. where is the option of a block warmer? My 88 swb 4.0 pioneer Has one.
  5. A subtle pin stripe along the lower body line goes a long way. Silver and gray hockey stick Pioneer strips would look amazing too. I think about putting the hockey sticks back on but instead of "pioneer"put "Comanche" with the cummins "c" as the first letter. But the guy on eBay that does them hasn't got back with me yet. And that's been probably 6 months ago. order the decal from him if you can, that's the hard part to get. Then just don't apply the Pioneer wording and go to a local vinyl sign shop and have them make you what ever you want in the same font and dimensions as the "pioneer" wording was.
  6. I also am going for the blue and silver color scheme. I tried to match the silver on the bumpers to the top silver color on the stripe, I also painted my axle truss and am painting my long arm kit to match the lower darker silver color. I spray painted the headlight bezels to match the bumpers also. I have the silver "JEEP" decals for the tailgate to match but I just havent gotten around to putting them on yet. I think the OEM stripe is what will really pull it together if you were to get that. I also think the chrome trim and grill help too.
  7. I have this problem with my 2012 jk sport. I have had a check engine light on non stop since I bought it. 54,000 miles on it now. They never gave me a straight answer about the light until now. Just was told about the left head issue and parts are on order now all under warranty. I believe they extended the warranty on this issue until 150k. SO if you haven't done so get this fixed. Or put 148k on it and get a fresh head and gasket then...
  8. Man, you are doing quality work. Powder coating gas tank straps? That's only excessive if you don't plan on having something last for time to tell. Great job. Can't wait to see the paint in the sun!
  9. I would like to see some up close shots of the hack job he did on those fender flares to make them fit around the snorkel......
  10. Yea I have a hard time believing that he is getting 300hp out of that 2.5, even the 4.0 stroked to a 4.7 still doesn't hit that mark.....
  11. I'll look for it tomorrow night and will be happy to mail it to you, just for keep sake. But I can confirm a date and that will narrow down the mileage better
  12. Oh and I think that I still have the receipt from when the PO of my truck put it on. Unless I sent it to you with the drive shaft. I know for a fact it had less that 10,000 miles on it when I sold it.
  13. That is odd. I never had that issue when u had it. Was very quiet. Only thing is I was getting slight vibrations around 20-30 mph. That was because of the angle it was at and it being to short. I had to much lift for it, that's why I got the SYE and sold it. But never heard any nosies.
  14. are your motor mounts broke? The reason I ask Is because It looks like the engine is tweaked at a angle. Mine was like that to because my motor driver side mount was broke and the engine settled back and to the right some.
  15. Looks great! Everything looks very well done. can't wait to see it complete
  16. Yes that's what I used if you look in the link above.
  17. here is how I built mine. http://comancheclub.com/topic/38227-well-i-did-do-it-my-mj-has-a-roof-rack-now-pictures-uploaded/?hl=roof+rack
  18. I am thinking of going a different direction with my build and might sell mine. Shipping to WA would be a PIA though....
  19. I didnt know if this is the right place to put this because It in not MJ related. Move if needed. I'm looking for a old receiver to replace the one in the garage now that is going out. Looking for pretty good wattage. 100 per channel would be nice. Not looking to to spend a lot since it will just be in the garage though. don't care what it looks like. If you have one laying around collecting dust that you wouldn't mind getting rid of let me know... Might have some mj parts to trade...
  20. Thats what I have done with both of my axles. As funds allowed to buy parts.
  21. Well you won't find one with 3.07s. So here is what you will have to do.. Buy a non 4.10 and up 8.8 and regear the 8.8 and the dana 30 to match. Which will cost about $600-$800 plus the cost of the rear axle. Or buy a 8.8 with 4.10s or higher and just have to regear your dana 30 to match. $300-$400 to regear the dana 30, plus the cost of the 8.8 rear axle. If you are going to have to regear anyway might as well hold out and get the 4.10. If you get luck enough you can find a rare 4.56 geared 8.8. And once again, you will not be able to drive your comanche unless your front and rear axles match gears.
  22. $300-$400 to have a shop change gear ratios
  23. I'm pretty sure its 95 and up. I swear the one i got was out of a 95.... I took a picture of it but now I can't find it.
  24. no problem they listed under a search for "explorer". Also that bottom one is cheap enough to buy it, pull the rear end, and then take it to the scrap yard and make all your money back..... Make sure you check gear ratios. If you plan on re-gearing anyway I would only buy a 4.10 or 4.56 ratio axle. If you don't plan on re-gearing anytime soon you will want to get a matching ratio that is under your mj now. Remember your front and rear axles HAVE to have matching gears.
