  1. Joe, Eric here. Thank you very much for taking the time to come on here to answer questions in person. I am good for a set of military wrapped springs with aprox 2" of lift. I'm flexible as to 5(3/2) or 4(3/1) What ever it takes to get an order together I can go with that.
  2. It is always worth half of what you have in it. ALWAYS! I think that is a jeep rule that is etched in stone. :D
  3. Here is a diagram that may help you.
  4. I saw the wires when I replaced those pillar lights, but just wondering what kind of cutting is involved, or is it just a couple of screw holes and one for the wires?
  5. What would be involved to add one? I'm assuming the wires are already there? I understand I would have to add the switch also, but what about the mounting on the cab?
  6. Looks like the top half of the shock rusted through and it has fallen down. Hard to imagine a dealer selling such a clean interior car and not fix a couple of issues that are just plain blatant. Like the shocks and rusted spare tire rim. Makes me wonder how much bondo is under that paint.
  7. Remember this one? Seems the deal must have fallen through. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Comanche-4X4-55-Pics-True-No-Reserve-Auction-90-COMANCHE-4X4-5-SPD-FRESH-PAINT-BODY-LOW-MILES-/130831252797?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e76267d3d
  8. The build sheet may be behind the door panel. Your carpet looks to be that blue/gray that is so common. What is the rocker switch for? The one on the right of the fog light switch.
  9. Made sense to me Rob. Thanks for that tip!
  10. Sounds like you might have had two o-rings installed. Happens sometimes. You unscrew the old filter, and the o-ring stays stuck onto the block (housing). You screw the new filter on and it will leak every time.
  11. Here is their e-mail: sales@generalspringkc.com General Spring of Kansas City 915 E 56 Hwy Olathe, KS 66061 888-829-0619
  12. I sent this link to the vendor and asked them to sign on and answer any questions, but see they haven't. Since I started the thread, guess I'm on the hook for a set. How about if someone else e-mails them and ask if they will pop on here to answer any Q's.
  13. What is the tube dia.?

  15. On deceleration, and above 1200 rpms the system goes into open loop. In open loop, the A/F is determined primarily by the MAP, CTS and engine speed. You stated you did not replace the coolant temperature sensors. I would start there...
  16. Frame dimensions for the SWB and LWB.
  17. I don't see any MJ section in there...
  18. Another thread gave me the idea. I pay for a hosting company to host my company website, and part of the package gives me unlimited storage space, and state of the art security measures. Since I don't use that space, i'm proposing that any members on here that have say 25 or more posts, can be granted an access id and password to be able to download/upload files. This way we could all share those files. By me hosting them, I see no liability for the forum. It wouldn't exactly be public, more like an invited guest repository of information pertaining only to our trucks. I could screen the material occasionally to make sure there is no contraband within... What do you think?
  19. You can check for a draw by removing the negative cable off the battery, and measuring amps between the negative battery post and the cable end. Any current passing will have to travel thru the meter, and you can measure it. Then you can remove fuses one at a time until the draw goes away. This may or may not isolate the problem. If not, try removing the connector off the alternator. Bad diodes in an alternator can cause a drain. Hope this helps you stay out of the cold any longer that you have to.
  20. I'll host any and all manuals on my server for you. We can password protect them, and only PM the password to members on here.
  21. OMG! Had one in H.S. (in the late 70's) That is a steal.
  22. I kind of remember some dos commands. I think it was dir to run a directory to list the folders on the drive. dir /p lists them the width of the screen. CD (change directory) to jump around from level to level.... Coming back to you?
  23. That is the way my skid is also. I took it off the other day trying to isolate a rattle, and it is still off.
  24. Thanks Jim, I was just daydreaming about putting a short bed on a LWB chasis, and then extending the cab to fill in the difference, so I was just curious what those measurements were. Like I said, it was just a mental build. (but I want one  )
  25. Actually, I've seen them. A couple of times. My theory on them are they are formed from static electricity or something like that when steam from deep thermal energy moves around underground and builds up a startic charge. As it finally rises, it produces a sparkly ball of light that can dance around on or near the surface. Plenty of locals have their own theories and have seen them. Also it is important to note that there are some sightings that are a result of locals having some fun with the gullible tourists... ;)
