Hey guys Well I've been daily driving the truck now for the past 2 weeks and besides a suspension clunk I've been getting a weird impact to the truck.lets say if I were to brake 2to 3 seconds ill feel like I've been hit by someone in the back but nothing...I know my brakes are good but it wouldn't feel like if someone has hit me I am really thinking that it might be my motor mounts that's probably moving the engine forward causing it have such an impact braking. Motor mounts are toast Any input would help I'm soooo stumped about this and this is my dd please help

My 88 2.5 came with 4.11 gear ratio but going up on gears would help a lot for more power -
Yeah here in miami you get cut off all the time by the metro bus....but when your there sticking the middle finger at the driver there's a big sign right in the back that says " yield to bus, it's the law" that's probably why they are so crazy on the road and time is crucial with these drivers getting to each stop Hope your sister gets better blue88

Loose Steering And Clunking
88whitemanche replied to 88whitemanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Takes a second to turn I think it may be my sway bar I noticed the bushing are worn and so far I've noticed the clunking while going less than 5miles per hour either turning forward or backwards...by the way I have the v8 zj swap -
Loose Steering And Clunking
88whitemanche replied to 88whitemanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just checked track bar bushings and they loos in good shape and as for the mount how do I check if its worn? Comanchekid I did my rear drive shaft u-joints when I did my clutch about a month ago -
Hey guys I'm stumped First, I just changed ball joints, unit bearings, all tie rods, and drag link steering parts and steering stabliEr and got an alignment and I am still feeling looseness on my steering do guys have any ideas what that be caused by? Second, is the clunking noise it only happens when I'm either going to accelerate or go in reverse? I checked all nuts and bolts and bushing and nothing seem loose to make that clunk do any of you witness this?

Yeah...the guy who gave it to me is a good buddy of mine I'm trying to get him back into a comanche but they are out here in Miami but no one is selling them

What's going on guys Just an update I put the heavy duty headlight wire harness from eautoworks.com pics of the install Also changed all my tie rod ends on the truck and the draglink and steering stabilizer couldn't get the truck bar off but I might return the one I have and buy an aftermarket adjustable one due to the fact I might be doing Alexia's 5.5in lift with in the next few months Also did my rear tail lamps may have to do them again they look good in pics but doesn't look right in person

Yes they will fit but you would have to change the door striker on the actual cab to make them work...iirc I think there's a write up in the DIY section about that it just search in the forums for 97+ doors

I'm pretty sure the o-ring on the electrical wires that goes to the top of the fuel sending unit gave out...it has happen to me you would have to replace that o-ring....there's a DIY way of refreshing your sending unit This the part I did on my truck and now I can fill up all the way!!!!! I've had that issue that I lost over a half a tank of gas. Smh -

You should change your wires to either 4 or 2gauge wires because upgrading to a 136amp alt maybe give those wires a problem..the wires leading to the alternator
