What's up guys I've been having death wobble after replacing my tie rod to a zj tie rod...I noticed that my track bar moves more than normal.... I had a buddy of mine turn the wheel and noticed the track bar at the axle has some play...I was wondering when I take off the track bar to put a bigger bolt do I have to get an alignment?

Double check the spark plugs wires that are they are all connected....especially the one going from the dist. Cap to the iac.... Another question is....is the truck cranking trying to start? Or when you turn the key nothing happens?

Well when I got my truck it already had the headlights housings not a sealed beam....so to adapt the 96- lights to the 97+....all I did was grab the ends at the junkyard from a 97+ to adapt to the older wires to fit in the slots of the newer lights...but the only problem I had was the front turn signals which has two slots for two which ours came with one....I sealed one hole with duct tape and added the socket to the remaining hole....if your confused let me know ill take pics and send them to you....

Well a crazy update Ever since Friday I went to the Bon fire and got stuck I didn't see any problems with my suspension except today on the way to work....was catching crazy death wobble....any little pothole I would hit bam instant death wobble. so on the way home, drove back home and got really bad death wobble to the point I couldn't go past 45mph....got home checked my suspension and bam! Noticed a bent tie rod end and tie rod.... I was planning to get the v8 zj tie rod in the future especially since I just did my complete steering....but now it's time to upgrade....

Great build man....is that front bumper from l&l? -
Thanks zack *update* While watching my beloved Miami Dolphins beat the Cleveland browns. I was on Craigslist just browsing on the next buy for my jeep so I ran across a smittybilt xrc8 for $250....I ended up calling the guy up and went to see it. Just a few minutes talking about why he sold his wrangler and how astounded that he's never seen a jeep comanche!!! Lol....I talked him down to $140 cash and here I am with a winch....now I have it there for a future hidden winch bumper!!!! Enjoy

*update* So last weekend I finally got the courage to replace my busted motor mounts with the poly brown dog motor mounts...they are built stout and throttle response is awesome! But there were way too much vibes in the cab. I literally caught headaches just doing a 20min commute to work it anywhere I drive To I would catch motion sickness....so I ended up going with the cheap 10$ motor mounts and wow what a huge difference!!! No more vibes Few pics of the busted motor mounts and me being stuck at a Bon fire last night and love the truck being dirty....enjoy

Try checking the ground behind the left taillight lamp...unscrew it, shave the paint to bare metal and reinstall the ground to see if that works....

Unfortunately comanchemodder Those part #s are only for the 4.0 They don't make the vacuum harness for the 2.5s
-
Do they still have the seal around them? Because it can seem fine until those seals are gone
-
Maybe from the cab vents?

Help Finding A Speedo Cable
88whitemanche replied to Zebvance's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Is there any other reference to this part # besides actually going to a junkyard? Another question would be if the speedo cables from an xj to fit? Which drivetrain should I go for? Or should I say the longest one to fit our trucks? -

88 Mj Electrical Issues
88whitemanche replied to DAM_MJ88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Usually when the blinker light stays on in your instrument panel is because on the side that the light stays on that either a bad bulb, the bulb not installed correctly or just not the correct bulb.... *edit* can be other electrical problems...but start with the basics -

Sweet! From an already awesome truck Adding the bumper and winch just adds character to her -
Cruiser I have already done your ground refreshing...but I did notice today while looking into my engine bay that the ground by the back of the head that attaches to the fire wall of the engine bay is filled with oil and muck from my previous plastic VC and rubber gasket....since I've upgraded to the aluminum VC and pre molded 98 Dakota gasket....it hasn't leaked a single drop.... But I haven't cleaned up since then...I will do refresh my grounds again Saturday This Saturday I will be cleaning that area as well as the dipstick ground also....

Who knows? For looks? Easier to slide two instead of one long one? Who knows? -
Rear Sliding Window
88whitemanche replied to dave92cherokee's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Zack I originally wanted a 3 window slider but got the 4 instead because it was the Only one they had....I wasn't going to wait a month to get one neither....usually I hear the negatives of the four because its easier to break into instead of the three.... -
1989 eliminator- Sorry forgot to mention that all fuses were changed and the pins have been picked so they grab more contact to the fuses.... No lie this truck is an electrical nightmare.... There's only so many wires to mess with but already handled most of the dangling loose ones either being pulled because they were useless loose wires or some crazy speaker system that the previous owner attempted to put in there
