  1. Is there anything else I should check while I head over to my friends house after work to work on his jeep??
  2. Ill be sure to check that tomorrow when I go back to work on his jeep... i did find one similar to that but a thinner black wire that made the headlamps, turn signals, brake lights work, but no reverse....
  3. What's up guys So I got the dash lights to work and headlights and brakes due to a grounf wire not being grounded..... the problem now is the gauges still don't work.....any ideas what to do or what to check? Grounds? Anything? I'm trying to help my boy out because funds are extremely low Thanks for any input
  4. Welcome to the club! What bumper is that?
  5. What's up guys Lately the truck has been running great no issues except that I've noticed my gas has been going fast than normal. I do mainly highway miles so it shouldn't be much if an issue....so lately I've been noticing that when I put gas or when I'm idling I'm smelling unburnt fuel... is there anything I can do to diagnose this?
  6. I didn't expect that at all!!!! Those bastards! I think they mean by eliminating the competition in circuit racing!!!
  7. Lebaron vents? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=261266808061
  8. I've always loved the tube pre-runner style bumpers...I also wanted to do a hidden winch pre runner style bumper but can't really get a lot of ideas online...pm me pics of your set up so I can grab ideas for mine....thanks
  9. Dude! That bumper looks sick! Is that the DIY bumper from jeep tubes?
  10. Ok awesome....looks like they are in my near future....thanks guys
  11. Ok just asking...because I do want the flex for mudding and climbing things...I guess just gota save up to get them... Thanks guys....
  12. What's up guys I'm planning to do a 4.5 inch lift on my truck.... I have the coils, track bar, adjustable control arms, but my main question is can I do the lift without the control drop brackets? I've seen anything over 4.5 with them and wondered if I can do it with out them?
  13. What's up guys So I finally gave in and installed my vinyl carpet....I decided my jeep is always going to leak in the interior so I just put it in and take it out to dry it even lift to dry.... Pics!!!! Also this weekend I was driving around with a buddy of mine in his tj...god I love wranglers!!!! Got get one!!! So we came across some cool Toyota fj cruisers I know I know it's not a jeep! But it's the cool factor! The guy was selling them he said he brought them up from Costa Rica....enjoy
  14. What's up guys So I've been converting my interior black and also changed over to bucket seats but want the long center console like the Cherokees....I've been to junkyards home stop and only seen automatics... .but my question is will the automatic one got for a 5speed? Like does the square plastic that the rubber boot sits on can that be used to be adapted to the automatic one?
  15. Lol that reminds me of a time when a buddy of mine had a yj and he only had the two front seats and no windshield....since we had safety glasses we were riding up and down the road at about 40mph and he accidentally swallowed a bug!!!! Lmfao hahahaha! Big ups on the driving it again!
  16. There's a guy here by the user name a1500ram-- from SMS headliners his name is Steve he makes the headliners for the comanche....great quality product and awesome customer service....
  17. Exactly! At least you go to explore a bit and enjoy the scenery! Congrats on the trip! It's always Christmas when you bring a comanche back home!
  18. What's up guys Update time....over the course of the past few weeks having weekend vacations and working on the interior mostly converting it from medium grey to black haven't gotten it all done yet still have to do the door panels....here's some pics The headliner from steve(a1500ram) awesome quality work and fits like a glove...did have some regarding the fact I didn't have the Velcro needed for the headliner. So I ended going to Home Depot and getting a set to let the headliner sit right up there. Since I have a rear sliding glass the wind doesn't push it down to collapse the headliner which is a plus.... That's my pops in the pic below Also today I finally got to install my bucket seats that picked up on Craigslist for $40....and also my bucket seat brackets I bought from keyav8er Not many pics of the seats but one will have more later. While in the mix of the updates me and a buddy of mine. Have been on the look out for his first jeep! Been massaging the jeep name into his soul and finally got him to bite....we drive from miami to Tampa took about 5 1/2 hours because of being pulled over for dark tints and massive thunder storms....funny thing is on the way back with a tag last registered in 2009 on the cherokee the ride down went smooth but horrible! Imagine we went to work at 630 am got out of work at 3. Headed to Tampa at 4pm we didn't get home till 520am the next day and went to work! Crazy? For a jeep? He'll yeah!!!! Plus he got a smoking deal....88 cherokee 4.0 4x4 and the pukegoat 5speed! Had a 6inch lift adjustable control arms, sway bar discos, one ton steering, sye, custom drive shafts, front winch bumper, rear tire carrier, roof rack, 5- 33in mickey Thompson all terrains and d-windows and bushwacker fender flares all for $1900 now that's a steal enjoy the update and mini story. Sorry for the grammar wasn't great in school.
  19. For American cars all data is better for euro and others Mitchell is better
  20. Thanks for the info....check at the fuse panel( no leaks) , I did send him cruisers link for upgrades and ways to diagnose and upgrade his cherokee....but that truck is a wire mess! Wires in the engine that lead to somewhere I don't want to mess with and so many bull crap speaker wires going on....we literally took so many wires out that truck that I was happy that the truck even started! I told him after we plucked so many wires out that its best to send to a mechanic that good on electrical work...I had a guy work on my truck after fuses kept blowing and wires were melted....so he'll be sending his cherokee over to him in Friday....better to have a professional work on it than us amateurs messing something up worse than before.... As for 1989 eliminator when I looked at the brake switch it looked like it had separate wires going directly to it....
  21. That's a hell of a deal!!!!!! I wish!
  22. Yeah man glad to see the difference! Great job! Love to see updates on this truck. Big motivation! Thumbs up!
  23. What's ups guys Need all the help we can get....my boy bought an 88 jeep cherokee but when he got it the gas gauge was busted because it doesn't tell you the level if gas it has and no brake lights....turn signals worked great but brake lights are out! Just yesterday his night lights didn't come on at all Any input is great or any suggestions in where to look first! Thanks It's an 88 4.0 5speed 4x4
