It was a wet rainy mess down at Dan's this weekend it started raining on Friday night and did not stop until Saturday after noon. :roll: And then it started rain Saturday night in to Sunday. Which sucked because I had to change a alternator because for some reason every time I go out down there something has to break on the truck. So here is the run down on the trail damage from this weekend. 1. Alternator 2. Popped a bead on the front tire 3. Rear brake line 4 New dent the box 5. Front fender has a new dent as well to match the rear O and did I mention that I laid her over on her side not hard but it was enough to say that I am putting a cage in these truck. as far as the rear end goes i have no clue how to tell. The front is not the soild axle like i thought it would be is this ok

Yeah I no, It still private party for 5500 to 6500 so in the long run I still didn’t get hurt. I mean for 2,000 bucks I don’t think I could have gone wrong. Yeah I no the mile thing is a lot. is it hanging up on the exhuast thing that is tied in to the tranny mount. I no that is where mine was hung up.

yeah it has the power man and yeah I now the tires are not going to be cheap but I don’t plan to use it like "everyday" just like once a month and maybe once or twice a year out of state to hang with some of you guys :cheers:. It is about 180 miles from me I think if it was closer I would be all over this. The motor only as 109,xxx on it but I really think I am going to hold out for something a little closer and more my style(crew cab).

I went and looked at that 88 F-350 460 auto 2 wheel drive and here is the thing it has a rattle that seem to be coming from the bottom end of the motor I think. But then again if you step on the gas it goes a way is this something in the muffler system or fly wheel maybe I don’t know. Here is a video of the noise it is hard to hear but I think you can tell what I am talking about. http://tinyurl.com/23poxb The tires that are under are dry rotted really bad and I don’t want to take a chance on one or more blowing on my way home with it about a 200 mile trip. What do you think a set of tire will run me (6) I believe they are 7.5 R16 they don't have to be anything really meaty. And here are is a video of the whole truck not bad I would think. well we just traded for the week we will see if we can come up with a deal or not and the truck does look great with those claws

Nope won't work the stock leaf spring perches on a XJ are at a different location. You are going to have to cut them off and move them out i think or was it in :nuts: Any way you just can't slide the axle out from your XJ and bolt it "right in" to the MJ. O and welcome to the club and it sound like it is going to be a sweet truck. :cheers:

Here is my thing I am thinking about this as well. I was going to with 4 link rear and 60 front and rear. But $#!& then I would has a 200 axle with a 1000 worth of joints and steel to hold in to place. I think this would give you a great ride (I would think never really rode in a truck set up like this). But I am not willing to spend this kind of money on my $400 tuck. I think if you are only going to run 33’s and this is a DD/trail rig I think money would be best spent on a super 30 kit and some thing along the same in the rear.

I don’t no what year it is but I don’t think it is going to be that new. I think I can get it next to nothing like $50 or so. And for that price I thought what the hell I would just pick it up and add it to my "dream build" part list. :popcorn:
