I have been kicking this ideal around as well. I have surfing Pirate a lot in the Toy department getting ideals and stuffs. No there not the same but kind of close I like the 4 link with square tubing. Not as high price as DOM and just as strong from what I have be reading.

I could maybe see if it was a desert runner to handle the corners better maybe As far as a link goes no but pick this months JP and it in there

on the rear sway bar check out the the MJ that Currie built in the JP mag page 54

Well eagle this is what I did I did not take the pitman arm off. I really could care less if the steering wheel is upside down and on backwards for say. I just center the pitman arm with the truck like it is suppose to be then adjust my drag link to the pit man arm. The pit man arm is straight and so are the tires (well kind of) I need to still do the aliment thing today some time but it seem to be a lot better I have not drove it yet. But it does turn equally to the left and the right now.

sorry about that i for got and eagle it has been a week in my world

thats a thought becouse it does have a nice dent in. I think i have it fugure out now I just need to read this link and go back out and play with the truck some more but i am getting it.

thanks for the link but i already book market it because I new I was going to need it. Thanks everyone for there input I will let you no how this turns out.
-
yeah but the more work they do the more they like to charge.

those pics are almost correct for the most part. I think the plan is to rip the whole thing off and but on a ZJ V-8 steering and start over. :D Well that sounded good but not going to happen. What I am going to do: -center the tires -disconnect the pitman arm move steering wheel to center by finding center of the steering box and market center on there so I no where my pit man arm goes -Then I am going to put my pitman arm center on that mark -Then making sure that the axle is center with the truck Then adjust track bar(if needed) and attach draglink In my head this should work  O and then take it to the nearest shop to have an alignments done to make sure every thing is ok  What do you think
-
thanks cole for your time I understand what need to happen I am just going to play with it tomorrow.
-
yeah i am lost but i will get this figured out    :beerhead:
-
ok how do you recenter the box with the steering wheel straight my pitman arm is to the right about 1/2" to 1" off of center  so yeah i would say it needs to be recenter
-
ok thanks But i am leaning towrd the steering box being not centered
-
Not to be a smart a$$ and maybe i read this wrong but if the wheel are straight and lock in to place how am I going to adjust the drag link until the wheels are straight
-
no i did not I guess that is some thing i sould do also pete I think you might be right as well the steering wheel could be out of wack to  And yes it is a big deal it is a pain in the a$$
-
Ok here is the deal guy’s if you are sitting in the seat I can steer to the left just fine. It makes a turn just like it is suppose to but if I turn to the right it will not turn as tight as to the left WHY?? I mean when I am out on the trail this is a huge pain in the butt I have to back up turn back up turn and then go. What gives. Any body have a clue what I need to adjust in my steering.

I did not use the stock location because when i put the 8.8 in I removed the stock shock thing. Plus I could not find a after market bracket that did not hang below the axle. So I went to Harbor Freight and bought a set of trailer spring perches and made a set that I thought was great. Until I showed you guys on here. It was pointed out to me that to use my shock mounts that I would need to angle them in like CW did. Here is a post that I made about them http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... ock+mounts O and I am running two wheel drive Ford Ranger shocks on the back. They were cheap and seem to work out really well for me might not be set up right but then I am new and can get away with for a while. Here is a pic of my set up And a pic of it flexing
