Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. [did u paint them urself or did u have them paint it? i think them painted black on my truck would look really cool.] I painted them and they been on the truck for a year and a half and there is no paint coming off.
  2. [That's a nice truck, but there is a very sad sight in the background] yes, it is a sad sight, but that old girl help me with a lot of donor parts.
  3. I purchased them off ebay when I redid my truck, never had any issue with overheating.
  4. Here's the another extreme..
  5. I purchased my set at www.showcars-bodyparts.com.
  6. I bought a set from him back in Dec. Shipping cost wasn't too bad, got them within 10 days
  7. Receive my injectors today ..flow rating 198/199
  8. I finally found a 4X4 at a decent price ($500). It was used a a plow truck for last 3 years, but it runs very smooth. Its a 89 Comanche, LWB, 4.0, Automatic. Dana35 rear end, so front is probably a Dana 30, hadn't had much time to check everything out. Interior is in very good shape, no tears in the seat. Will check in the Spring to see how the frame is (looks good, but will see better once I take the box off), Truck has some rust, doesn't look too bad with the exception of the box, some rust on the rockers, floors feel solid. The drive train feels very solid and runs smooth, shifts into 4 wheel with no problems. I've actually used it many times already to push snow as we had 4 snow storms withing 7 days here (over 3 feet of snow). Truck worked excellent. If all works out I will put a 97+ front end, 6" lift and few other mods and of course get rid of the plow I also now have the option to convert my 88 to 4X4 in the event there is a problem with the frame. Here's a few pics..
  9. I happen to come across these yesterday.. http://cgi.ebay.ca/1987-Jeep-Commanche- ... dZViewItem
  10. I purchased the step bumper back in September, it came with the bumper, brackets, end caps, skid plates and licence plate lights covers. I'm not sure if the stealership sells the brackets separately, they might, I was lucky to get the bumper, they only found one in Canada.
  11. I have a new OEM set. I purchased a new step bumper from Chrysler and didn't need them as the ones on my truck were in excellent shape. These are for a SWB. I was going to put on Ebay, but willing to sell to anyone on this site that wants them. Make me an offer if you like, shipping to Michigan is about $25. Here's a pic..
  12. I purchased one last week, hope to get it soon. I was surprised that they also offered free shipping, even to Canada.
  13. I've used Nason Base coat/Clear coat paints many times on cars, I've also used on horse trailers and they turned out very well and lasted over the years.
  14. The cup holders came from an XJ and they will only hold cans of soda, mainly all I need it for is to hold my Pepsi. The headliner I purchased over the internet from www.ultimateperformancecar.ca, it's a foamed back headliner material measuring 4'5" wide by 6' long. Cost about $35.00. It was very easy to work with. There is enough material left over ( about 18" X 6') that can be used for other purposes (speaker enclosures, etc.). Comes in many different colors. I used a heavy duty spray adhesive made by Loctite, worked very well.
