  1. Best of luck to you then! I hope to God someone from this community wins that little truck. Well maybe not truggy folks
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-Jee ... dZViewItem This one is truly a rare find if I didn't have my 1991 I would certainly go after this one.
  3. Welcome! That is exactly how I came to own the MJ

  5. I am not certain what CL is like in other parts of the Country, but here in the San Francisco Bay Area it is like the star wars bar. People post up products fake or real, I know of people getting robbed of their playstation 3's and such. Then there are the tire kickers that are the equivalent of the Jawa's on starwars, I really feel for the guy when one comes out to see him and offers him $100 for the truck. ;) you just watched it didnt you I just tried to sell a Bose Wave Radio on CL actually

  7. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/car/394844058.html I have been waiting for prices of these little trucks to appreciate but this is amazing.... :chillin:
  8. I would buy that. Does it come with a 5spd and a solid front axle? Still, Id buy it. Front is IFS and on ST and SLT you can get the 6 speed manual. Gotta love the 4.7 liter high output option. No such option from Nissan and Toyota on their midsize pickups.
  9. I also have a 91. but my warm oil pressure is 18 at idle, 40+ at higher RPM's. When cold I get the same reading you get at idle, at higher RPMs I get 60. I have 140,000+ miles and use 10/30 chevron oil with a chevron oil filter(probably a fram).
  10. HAHA next time tell them yes, proceed to nearest speed trap, let them peel out while you drive nomally and watch the fun that follows :D
  11. I have a 91+ PDF electrical schematic it is 1,700 KB PM me your email address and I can email it to you tonight after work.
  12. Back in August of 2005 I used Dependable Auto Shipping to ship my MJ from Cleveland Ohio to San Francisco California I paid about $1,000. They were very good not a scratch on my truck it took about two weeks if I rememeber correctly.
  13. From what I can see they are not only illiterate in english, but also illiterate in spanish. Most of us are fortunate enough to be literate in English so knowing what a verb, noun or a sentence structure is makes it helpful to at least make conversation in another language. I can't imagine the ones I have come in contact with learning english structures to make conversation by googling resources. Most of us have it in our abilities to learn more than one language when we are fluent in another. I come from a few generations of military background, and my father served in the Philippines and as a military brat I picked up the local language Tagolog quite easily.
  14. I had the same problem as you, and I didn't want to spend a lot of time or money. I frequented free tutotials like this one, http://www.spanishprograms.com/learn_spanish.htm Then made a cheat sheet of common verbs ,nouns, and sentences you can find them on-line like this one. http://www.buildersshow.com/Documents/e ... 0Pinch.pdf It is an embarrassing situation for me as I am a fourth generation mexican/spanish mix so those guys would look at me me expecting me to understand them and I couldn't. I live out in Northern California and my family is in the auto industry, and in our parts department or sales department if you can have a basic converation in Spanish you increase your sales and bonus' substantially. I am not here to advocate what is right or wrong just to communicate to get the job done.
  15. My MJ had a set of these when I got it. The fit and quality appears great, and the lift is perfect. YMMV I agree, I have them as well.....RUSTYS don't MAKE THEM!!! CW My Rancho AAL 3 inch lift is starting to sag slightly in the rear, I was considering buying that pack from Rusty's, just out of curiosity does anyone know who makes them?
  16. Wow sounds like you live in a Jeep Mecca! Great finds especially that cargo light and related harnesses.
  17. Glad to hear you are holding up out there, my friends live about six blocks away from the fire, but they evacuated and went to another friends place on North Shore! She told my wife the winds are really kicking in hard today, we are saying a prayer for all of you out there.
  18. I went with these http://www.quadratec.com/products/produ ... bmit=Go%21 And this http://www.quadratec.com/products/produ ... bmit=Go%21 And upgraded the harness using BigOffroad harness kit. Much Much better than stock.
  19. That looks absolutely perfect, as rare as these trucks are here in the U.S. I can't imagine how rare such a clean MJ must be in Norway. How much would an MJ like that in Norway cost these days? There is one here on ebay that is pretty nice, and the seller wants $5,000, and I don't think it is as cherry as the one you want to buy. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989-COM ... dZViewItem Good luck I hope it works out for you
  20. Welcome! Your J20 looks awesome, the front grille looks like the Gladiator style. They just did a feature on a mod like that on Xtreme 4 wheel on Spike TV for a 79 full size Cherokee.
  21. What a waste and loss for NAXJA, I lurked on NAXJA for years, in fact I got turned onto to NAXJA and JU from somone called Harwood nearly 10 years ago that used to post on the old Drivetrain direct BB Perhaps you are the same Harwood? This board is the only one left that is like the good ole days. Even Rubicon express used to have a BB until folks started flaming and misbehaving.
  22. I agree however I searched over a year and never could find a rust free 92 SWB 4X4 so I settled on my semi-rusty 91. Those suckers are super hard to find.
  23. I got my window weather stripping here http://www.teamcherokee.com/Weatherstrip/index.html Expensive when compared to others but I got them quick and they fit perfectly.
  24. There is a lot of speculation, Cerberus also purchased GMAC, some are saying that they may split Chrysler and Jeep up and then sell one of the two separately. If AM General for example decided to pickup the Jeep Division again we could be back to where we are in 1986  I think the re-animation of the Jeep pickup truck with a Deisel, and fuel efficient cars like the Compass in addition to the Hummer line may be a good fit for Am General. The problem is the four door Wrangler might be too close for the H3. :ack: The possibilities are endless but I really hope AM General would actually try to acquire the Jeep line.
  25. If it's not too personal... how much did ya pay? How much would u pay for that rarity? I'm interested in picking one up. I'll call that yard tomorrow and see how much they run. How much would I pay? Zilch, I am not interested in a cargo light, but if I was restoring an MJ back to factory specs and wanted one I would pay as high as $100 for one in good shape with the harness and switch included. For those that just want a cargo light I would bet there are many that can be adapted to work on the MJ. I saw an older F150 cargo light that looked similar to the MJ's. With the direction DCX has taken being bought by Cerberus Equity our little trucks may even be worth more money in a very short while, and OEM and JY prices are likely to increase even more. I hope JW's doesn't troll this board ;)
