  1. Thanks. I made it from a piece of aluminum stock that I had.
  2. https://www.quadratec.com/p/jw-speaker/led-headlight-kit-heated-lenses-jeep-wrangler-yj-cherokee-xj-comanche-mj You get what you pay for, heated, not a problem. Unfortunately you give what you pay for......or rather everyone else gets what you pay for. Yeah, $600........but..............
  3. The one for the gauge is a single wire and it's in the back of the head........NOT the intake. There is also a intake air temp sensor close by but it's not as crucial. Edit......I'm sorry. The one on the top is the air temp the one on the side is the coolant temp sensor.........coolant temp is critical.
  4. I don't even want to comment on this subject.
  5. From the front of the truck the temp sensor is right behind the TB, it has two wires coming out of it, screws into the top of the manifold.
  6. Group 78 batteries are a bit different in size so I made a new hold down.
  7. I'll repeat myself- Look at the injector as you give it throttle........what is happening? Temp sensor is critical.
  8. The 'solution' is sourcing the correct parts to begin with. The only reason this interested me is when I do my SBC swap I'll have to decide on Novak or Advanced Adapters, I'm torn on which to use. But I keep reading about the BS with Novak. I'd still like to know/see which slave was used here.
  9. I no longer have a spare OEM master to take apart but you will see here that the aftermarket POS has only one plunger, Mopar has two plungers. Also note, as stated in post above regarding the shaft getting jammed- Bend the shaft downward about 4-5 degrees and the shaft will go in the bore more parallel to the bore.
  10. Recommendation #1- Don't use a '96 as a donor.
  11. You can color match and paint it.
  12. What are you using to adjust the cable slack? Pics would be nice.
  13. Besides the grounds............ My guess from afar- O2 or Temp sensor.
  14. I have the strap at the head to chassis. I have a 4g ground to the dipstick and a 4g ground to the back of the alt, tied to a ground post at the chassis straight from the battery. You may find that redundant but I have no more fits.
  15. Been there, done that. And to a brand new never-to-be-found-again NOS TBI. Do not even attempt from the truck, remove the TBI and take it to a bench. You'll have to tap to the next size screw.......I don't remember what it is. Those bars that hold the injector in place are also the tubes that supply fuel to the injector, drill too far and you are SOL. You'll have to make your own screws.......you'll never find the originals. Pretend you are performing brain surgery.........you don't want to F this up.
  16. Temp sensor, the one in the intake.
  17. O2 and MAP. Could be TPS also. You can watch the injector run, what's happening when you give it throttle?

  19. Years ago I built a belt driven pump drive for a tractor. I sourced a couple of bearings for the shaft from NAPA, I don't remember the brand, maybe NAPA. The bearings didn't last long, they were cheap. I then sourced SKF, I was told those bearing were good beyond 20,000rpm, never a problem after that. IIRC the SKF bearings were something like $40 each. SKF makes idler pulleys designed specifically for what you want to do............beyond 10,000rpm is not a problem. And yes, idler pulley bearings are specific because of the amount of tension from the belt. Pay for it once and won't worry about it. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/skf-acp38001?seid=srese1&cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-skf-bearings&gclid=Cj0KCQiA-8PjBRCWARIsADc18TLdl8Q9xrKK8p040-d8tVQ_aS6EuReZIzS-mGRjAnmaCuQJHb7gye8aAqtuEALw_wcB

  21. Very nice. Young and ambitious I suppose.
  22. I have to ask- Why?
  23. Walking in with the entire kit opened the can of worms. Never ask a question you don't already know the answer to. Go to another store with just the pieces.
  24. Don't know how you guys manage to drive on the wrong side of the road but.............:P Enjoy, nice truck.
