  1. I assume you know you'll need an -electric over hydraulic- system. Make sure when you buy a controller that you get one that is compatible. The P3 controller is the best your money can buy. Also......Ground Ground Ground.......your current system is not sufficient.
  2. Something a little strange there.........wonder if any of you see it?
  3. Also- don't butcher your jambs.
  4. I have an 88 and a 98, the hinges are exactly the same. I've installed 98 doors on my 88. What no one talks about is what a PITA it is to get the doors adjusted correctly. I rewelded and repinned my hinges. I made new shims from thinner material. I fought them. See my build thread.
  5. What were you using this for?
  6. I was going to mount the bed this weekend but lousy weather yesterday.....so......... I painted the trims black and extended wires. These lights rely on the housing bolts/nuts as a ground....you know I won't accept that. Tinned with flux and silver bearing solder first, then with rosin core, sticks well. Ran new harness from the cab to the rear. I'm waiting on connectors that I ordered. 12 pin at the end of this harness, through body plug as original, then to three sets of plugs, -left- -right- -7 pin trailer plug-. Each will have it's own independent harness/plug. That is why you see multiple wires....home runs through the 12 pin, then separated out among the three plugs. I chose to go with the traditional GM colors, also I have one extra back-up wire that will go to my hideaway back-up lights. I'm picking up the rest of the SS hardware this week for the tailgate........and now that I have time, I'll mount the bed with new SS nuts/bolts. In the mean time I'm tumbling the tailgate brackets and mechanisms, should clean up nice for paint.
  7. Just because a fuse is showing power across the fuse does not mean the power is passing through the fuse block. IOWs, corrosion on the back side of the block.
  8. Solve that problem by reading and paying attention. As to parts- every part is now becoming precious. You will learn what parts that guys cannot do without.......such as- Rear flares..........front too now. Cab vent covers and vents. Relay covers with retainers. Tailgates. Mini consoles. TBI from 2.5s and the TBI hats. Any sensor you can grab. PS brackets and pulleys. Rear window gaskets/trims/seals. Rear windows will become impossible to find in a couple of years. Tail lights..........of course. You get the idea. Ebay............and yes, get every penny you can out of it.
  9. This is the kit I actually have. IIRC from my homework.........the 8.75 shares the same offset as the 8.25. https://www.wilwood.com/Search/PartNoSearch?q=140-10767
  10. Mine is clearly a 4 piston...........call them, I have no idea what they are offering now. Mine have been sitting in the box for two years, close to installing now.
  11. Laughable, truly. The world has seen with photosucket has done to themselves, others will not repeat. That said- I've owned/built three websites. $12 to register your domain. $15 per month to host your site. Host your own images and share to your heart's content. If you are serious. My images are backed up, I don't care what imgur does or does not do.
  12. What's wrong with the mirrors that are on it?
  13. Yes, you'll solve that problem.
  14. Why? The ones on there are cool.
  15. The oil Slinger is internal and irrelevant. Dayco makes a good balancer it is sold through oreillys right around fifty bucks if I remember correctly.
  16. https://fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/cto/d/cape-coral-1990-jeep-comanche-40/7063433698.html
  17. Sealed all seams with seam sealer. Primed with black epoxy primer. Raptor Liner. Bedsides have been cut and buffed and waxed. Next week bed will be ready to reinstall.
  18. Did you or anyone install a new clutch?
  19. Your truck exudes class. My truck will have no badges or decals. Some of us have class and some of us don't. It sits perfectly the way it is.
