  2. A Trailer "Open House" For my father's 80th birthday party I brought one my little trailers to western Iowa to have it on display for the party goers. It was a big hit. ... Everyone loved "Lucy" the vintage Comanche trailer. My son won this very large flamingo at Adventure Land in Des Moines that year, so we had to have it perched on top.
  3. BTW, that pulley on the 2.5 is specific to the 2.5, someone may have put a 4.0 pulley or a later year pulley on it.....as for the reason it's off.
  4. All 2.5 belts are 6 groove......>IIRC
  5. Where does the carpet not fit right?
  6. You've got an air temp sensor too, I would not overlook that.
  7. Do mean to give bad advise........but......... I keep reading that and I keep reading that folks are doing it anyway and have yet to read an- oh my god what have I done- post.
  8. The XJ tray is plentiful and is the same.
  9. This was the condition of mine before I put it back in. I took some 800 wet paper and put it to a palm sander and cleaned it up........others may squawk at that but I'm unconventional. Image Not Found
  10. If it glazed badly....take it NAPA and have them turn it for you.
  11. If you have a points distributor.........>you have the WRONG distributor. XJ on the intake is correct to the MJ. You need a Renix distributor. The points dist would have come in a '86 2.5 or earlier that was carbed, not injected.
  12. Yeah, I see, Vision. Can you give me the specs please? Thanks
  13. Those are nice however I went with these... Image Not Found You got pics? I need 18x9, and yours are? What wheel is it?
  14. I had mine built at a local shop, Ferguson's, he is a Spicer authorized dealer/manufacturer. Cost was $225. I brought him my yoke and a measurement, he handed me a new DS with Spicer ujoints. Check here- http://www.4xshaft.com/ They offer a new rear DS for the XJ at $199, can't be much more for the MJ. Despite what is illustrated and instructed on that website- Insert your yoke, measure center to center of the ujoints, yoke to yoke, give them that measurement. Insert your trans end where it would normally ride, you will see the seal wear on the yoke, it's from that position you want to measure from.
  15. Offering a little counter balance here-
  16. There's a certain requirement to drive one of those........I think you know what I mean.
  17. As you know, I started a thread a while ago regarding wheels for the MJ. I look at least once per day.....been searching for hours and hours and nothing strikes my fancy. It's come down to this- OR-------

  19. Take the oil filler cap off while it is at idle, if you feel air coming out, being forced out, you have blow-by. Chances are the rings are allowing compressed air/gas past them, this pressurizes the crankcase and that pressure is going to come out somewhere, either leaking/weeping seals or out to the intake.
  20. Blow-by. Rebuild time.
