  1. Autozone is pretty good about taking their crap back. Really? 24 hour store?
  2. The fronts are the same as the XJ, of course. The rears that I had are the exact length of the stock rear XJ, so, I made up bar-pin eliminators and installed the 4 4600s on the XJ yesterday. I had the mid-line Gabriels on the XJ and the ride was harsh, real harsh, and I found out why. The springs are shot on the XJ, now the ride is way too soft, spongy, terrible. Point is, I'm realizing how the spring and shock work together and one cannot compensate for the other. Well, new springs on the XJ now........never ends.

  4. Cleanliness is godliness. Ultra Black sticks to CLEAN parts and you'll play hell getting them apart. RVT the screws too and they'll not come out. Screw the gaskets. Image Not Found
  5. Oh, yeah.........and it'll cost you $18 for the wrench that fits it.................lol

  7. I took it to my local hydraulic shop and no match. I doubt you will find an off shelf fitting to plug it with.
  8. Cut off the fitting from the tube and make your own plug. The thread size is unique and you will not find a plug for it. Image Not Found
  9. Don't know why I dreaded this job......easy as pie. :) And what a difference! Image Not Found

  11. Mine were replaced before I bought the truck........I've not bothered to seek out new lines. However, if I needed to- Any hydraulic shop should be able to set you up. Or- You can use regular fuel line and fittings, you are only dealing with 15lbs of pressure. I'd opt for braided steel for appearance sake.....yeah, it'd cost me $40-50 bucks......but.........

  14. Without pics......... Could braze in a stud.........?
  15. Those nuts and bolts are the same ones used on up through the 2005 Grand........I cannot believe you could not find a good one.
  16. This? If it were me........ I'd make up patch panels and weld them on to get me by for a year or so. In the mean time I'd save my pennies and work extra to buy a dead truck with a solid body to swap my good parts over to. I'd be looking in the deep south for one to drag home.
  17. OK, well.......I'm not there, who knows? Get two cans of Gunk and wash the engine down and look to see where it's coming from. I can't think of what would 'spray' oil on that side of the engine.........but.........
  18. Check your power steering pump/hoses.
  19. Thank you, guys. Ordered, Summit, $103 shipped, I thought that was pretty good deal.

  23. If you cannot thread it by hand FIRST!..........stop and figure out why.
