  1. No, that's just it........I'll having a hard time deciding on which wheel. Yes, same bolt pattern, 5x4.5 Aftermarket, probably Fuel or something similar. Problem is everything has to be ordered, it's not like I can pick one and measure it for backspacing. And depending on the site.....numbers conflict with other sites......offset vs backspacing.
  2. Image Not Found I'm currently running 31s with WJ lowers. I'm about to install adjustable lowers and order new wheels. New tire size will be 285/60/18 on 18x9 wheels. I'm looking for the correct offset or back spacing. Main concern is rubbing on the lowers or rubbing the swaybar or any other interference with the new tire size. Your thoughts will be appreciated.
  3. Image Not Found It took a month but they finally came. Just got them painted yesterday, I ordered them raw. Ironman Fab uppers and lowers, they are heavy duty, no doubt about that.
  4. For the type of driving you do, Bobby, you could go with CV shafts. I like mine now that I've switched.
  5. http://www.billavista.com/Tech/Articles/Driveshaft_Bible/index.html Study before you set up perches.
  6. You have a 2.5? Here is the tone ring of an 88, 2.5 Image Not Found
  7. Dual Efans with delay timer after shutdown .......three minutes or so.
  8. I'll bet he's on his phone and his phone is not recognizing the images.
  9. I doubt it was the fault of the cap. You'll blow a tank or hose before a freeze plug lets go. PO did a poor job of it.
  10. I assumed the crank was loose since the OP stated that the machinist asked for it. Would not surprise me if he wanted to check the crank and fly wheel for balance together if the crank was loose...........apparently it's not.
  11. Yes, he's going to balance the crank and the fly wheel.

  13. Pull the valve out of the valve stem to let all the air out, this will allow the tire to relax around the rim at the bead area. Cut several pieces of thin cardboard the shape and diameter of the wheel and then tuck it in between the tire and the rim.....create a shield. Others have used a deck of playing cards.
  14. 29-9.50-15 is the perfect stock tire size and will fit on the 8" wheel.
  15. About the same price as fixed and I can make adjustments as mileage racks up. That and the Hesco ones are about a 100 cheaper than the Yellas. American or Aussie?..... FWIW- I chose Harland Sharp, $260 to my door. Image Not Found
  16. To clarify- You can use '87 accessories on a '97-up block and crank but you cannot use '97-up balancer and accessories on a '87 crank.
  17. PB1482N Power Bond. It is a Dayco balancer, excellent quality, and OReilly can order it in. As to the '01 crank, the snout is about 3/8" shorter, the balancer will install just like on the '87........bolt it up and go.
  18. Just curious, why adjustables?

  21. Yes, the commie bastards in your state have decided that the colorant is cancer causing and banned that color, among others. Have a family member or a buddy in another state order it and then ship it to you.
  22. This is precisely why I don't bother to respond 90% of the time. http://www.eastwood.com/ew-ceramic-engine-paint-quart-chev-ornge.html?fee=7&fep=3430&adpos=1o1&creative=61491481260&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&SRCCODE=GA220010&gclid=Cj0KEQjwgoKqBRDt_IfLr8y1iMUBEiQA8Ua7XXMZBMKCHajUp-KDuTfSiIF6nTHCKAi9xG11Uc8wUo8aAvli8P8HAQ See link, see properties of the product <<<<<<<<< URETHANE Yes, it has 'ceramic' powders added.........what ever the hell that means........ Duplicolor, which I use BTW, 1635, for incidentals and ease of application where and when I need a cheap and quick black paint.........is good up to 500 degrees. Well, guess what? so is your common automotive acrylic. For wheels and such, when I need to 'push cure', I'll bake them in the oven at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes after an overnight dry. Here is my tractor, engine and frame were painted with urethane, and more than two years later.......good as new-
  23. Image Not Found Image Not Found If you do not believe me.......search for images of high end auto/custom builders.....engines.....all use standard acrylics/urethanes .......you can even go metallic or pearl. No clear coats.
  24. Engine paint? Go to any automotive paint shop and get a quart of acrylic or urethane made to match. There is no such thing as 'engine paint'.
  25. That's right.....sorry.
