I also live in middle tn, though I have seen a few. One in hickory hollow, 2 in Smyrna, 3 in jys, 2 in jy parking lots, 1 at an apartment in lavergne and mine.oh yeah and I saw one once on the Belmont university campus. Oh yeah again, the first one I ever saw was off of smith springs Rd in Nashville, it was orange and is what made me catch the mj bug. You really see them a lot more when you are looking.

:agree: Exactly what I was thinking.

Been thinking about getting a front hitch for a removable winch in the future, found this good write up on install :http://www.jeep-tech...-install.html. so I thought I would just pass on the knowledge... . ps: not my truck, thats an xj

Really unfortunate, makes you want to get onstar or the like installed so they can find you if they need to.

I have both pieces, where are you located?

 get that one

Truth is it seems to have rust in the bed anyway so it wouldn't hurt to replace, fenders can be easily swapped from xj, same for hood and header panel and doors for that matter. So as long as you can handle the work on the rockers and the rest of the cab (floors etc) you can just replace everything else with fresh metal and throw your own rattle can paint job on it, and some bumpers, and that thing will be good as new!

White MJs are smexy  -
just watched it on slo-mo and you really never get a good glance behind the doors, only shot that even shows a non-close up of the vehicle is really dark, but I am inclined to believe it is an xj aswell.

Overheating, Whats Next?
relyt120 replied to CallmeMaybe's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It really shouldn't overheat after 4 mins with or without the aux fan. To start I would pull the t-stat and see if it still overheats. Prob wouldn't hurt to change the coolant if you haven't and burp the thing to remove any air. As for the aux fan it could be that the relay is bad, if you have a/c see if it comes on with the a/c on; if it doesn't I would bet the relay needs to either be cleaned or replaced. not sure if you have done any of these things or not, certainly a good place to start. Also you should mention your truck year/drivetrain either in your post or your sig. to get better help. -
Good point, I was concerned with that as well but want to put an aux fuse box next to the brake booster. BTW your wiring is soooooo clean and awesome, what kind of soldering iron do you use?

Did you consider installing a late model washer fluid bottle in the fender like Hornbrod did? I tackled it myself today and it wasn't a nightmare.

What To Do With My New(First) Mj
relyt120 replied to Jester1341's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Don't lose the headliner backer board, they are hard to come by. Even if it is rough they are easily recovered. -
At least you didn't show up and find a 91 Cherokee! :rotf:

I wouldn't mind having one of those grills

Be wary if that test turns up negative for a blown head gasket, used one on my mom's xj and it turned up negative. Issues persisted so we went ahead and changed it. Made all the worlds difference.

That AC problem means you have a vacuum leak, check your vacuum lines for cuts or disconnectedness. Once you catch the Comanche bug there is no cure so you better settle in! :MJ 2: Also Welcome! and pics are always appreciated!
