Another Injector Swap Question
relyt120 replied to zfinger's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
wasnt there a link to an awesome rebuild injector supplier floating around here somewhere?? -
That's good, like the others said the ground is behind the drivers tail light but if you are fuel pump is working that should indicate that ground is good or at least not bad. I know there are 2 factory splices in the tail light harness and those are notorious for being bad (literally covered with duct tape) so if all else fails pull the split loom off the harness and check those splices. Before that though i would suggest trying to provide power to the individual sockets to be sure they work before tearing into the harness. You should also be able to use a multi-meter to prob the rear harness to see if you are getting power to the appropriate pins when the brake is pressed, turn signals etc that would definitely narrow your problem down to the rear harness/sockets.

I think some people confuse the post count nickname with a users username. seems to happen a lot so he was actually thanking the two of you. OP: Wouldn't hurt to check the connection of the rear harness and the tail light harness to make sure its good and tight with no corrosion or dirt clogging it up.

Did some work to the floor on the passengers side. Its my first time doing any rust/floor repair so i figured id start with the easier side. Pretty much just took a paint/rust removing grinder wheel to the whole thing, then a wire wheel for the tighter spots. Then i shot a combo of rust reformer and self etching primer. going to coat the whole thing with spray on undercoating when the whole thing is ready since it stays tacky when cured and i don't want the dust from the other side to stick to it. Also went to the junk yard and stumbled upon a plastic tool box for this truck. the one on there now is supposed to be on my DD but i moved it when i needed to use the whole bed and since it is a hassle to empty and move it back i have just left it where it is. I've got to clean the dirt out of it and all that but its pretty nice for a whopping $15. Also i couldnt find the keys so its not lockable at the moment but they are pretty simple so i may be able to find an easy solution.

i know nothing about that but i got a reply on a cl ad i had and a guy was looking to buy a 97+ header panel and said he was converting a 89 comanche! invited him here i bet he would like to meet us all,
-
that seems really cheap. I'm assuming hes just going to spray it and u would have to do all the prep work, which is a huge deal for a good paint job. to me the reason to have someone paint it is to avoid the prep work so id rather spend the money to get the whole job done rather than just the spray. assuming that for the price he is just spraying of course.

Steering Box Frame Plating
relyt120 replied to Project Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Better to have a band-aid than an open wound? Its my understanding that steering stabilizers come off easily if you want to be sure you corrected the underlying problem with later adjustments -
