  1. For a novice about springs, what do the spring numbers mean: 4(3/1) vs. 5(3/2)? How much lift would either spring provide. I am looking for 2" to 3". My current leaves are original. The right side has a broken leaf. So I need to have that repaired/replaced.
  2. The BA10 had phased out by '89. So, if it is original, it is most likely an AX-15. A way to verify it is to look at the trans. If the case is split vertically, left and right halves, then it is a BA10. If it split horizontally, top and bottom halves, then if it is an AX 15.
  3. The carpet is faded. It was kind of beige, but is doesn't match the other colors on the sample page. The switch is for the cargo box light.
  4. My '87 is all original. How can I tell the original color of the carpet. Where are the build codes? This is the interior
  5. jpnjim, Let me write you a prescription for your ocd. 1. purchase a scanner. It should have a document feeder with dual sided scanning. 2. remove the binding from the books. beginning with the ones for the '87s, 3. get yourself an adult beverage. 4. begin scanning. 5. send me the files to review. 6. repeat as necessary.
  6. OCD - obsessive compulsive disorder
  7. See this thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/12083-electrical-manual/ Download the pdf.
  8. Comanchemodder, If you need electrical diagrams, download the pdf from this thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/12083-electrical-manual/ It is for an '88 but most of the diagrams match the '87. (I found you MJ detail on another of your posts.)
  9. Which ones did you order - the one volume or two volume? Let me know what you think of them...before I purchase again. BTW, what's the detail on your MJ?
  10. I ordered and receive one last month. $165 freight shipping to 21740 (MD)
  11. The one marked 84-87 had nothing about the 4.0 or BA10/5 (not that I would open up a trans). I think I might contact the seller with questions and concerns.
  12. I see this one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400315596505&item=400315596505&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466 It is a two volume, where the other was only one volume. It also (says it) covers 86 to 88, not like the other which was 84-87. Your thoughts? Is this what you have in your garage/shop?
  13. What do the covers look like? Where did you purchase them from? (More than just ebay.)
  14. I had the same issues. Running light, turn signal and flashers all work, but no brake lights. Replaced the turn signal switch in the steering column. Napa: http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Result.aspx?Ntt=turn+signal+switch&Ntk=Keyword&Nty=1&N=599001+101987+50038+2038006
  15. This is the one I purchased. Note the years covered. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1985-1984-1987-Jeep-Comanche-Shop-Service-Repair-Manual-CD-Factory-OEM-Info-/400341476307?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item5d363623d3&vxp=mtr Where can I get one that covers the 87 MJ?
  16. I have both Chiltons and Haynes. I like the Haynes more because it cross references to other steps to perform when you are repairing/replacing parts. The Chiltons just states "remove X...reinstall X." But, I refer to both when I start to work on something I am not familar with (which is a lot.) I searched and found a Factory Service Manual (FSM) online that (supposedly) covered "84 - 87 Comanches". The years had me concerned, since the MJ started in 86. I bit the bullet and bought the FSM. Upon looking it over, it only covered the 86 models. It did not have any info about 4.0 eng. or BA10/5 trans. I returned it and got a full refund.
  17. Have you check the catalytic converter? Sounds like it might be clogging up.
  18. Tell them that your dog is currently unemployed and is not earning any income. Also, that he in not eligable to receive unemployment. That as soon as he finds a job he file and pay any taxes owed.

  21. It only has a six and a half inch bed?!?! Don't you mean 6.5'
  22. Wrong! You can do 15 more. 1CMNCHE 2CMNCHE . . . 9CMNCHE
  23. Yes, the Fey bracket fit on the side of the frame. The original brackets bolt on the side and bottom of the frame.
  24. I bought a Fey recently and ordered the brackets with it. The bracket is in between the old and new. The bumper attached.
  25. 2012 becoming 2013. Where are we now? "Another year older and deeper in debt." Just Empty Every Pocket
