  1. lastnight we got 4" in 20 minutes. Today is was a whiteout where I couldn't see 4 feet infronn'a my face. A good foot fell and I'm still at work for another 25 minutes. Yay for driving home.
  2. She's been sold! $1400. Went at a local auction.
  3. seconded, get one with XP. PLEASE! Ive got a vista laptop at home and its going back to Future Shop. Pisspoor waste of $2200 (its a toshiba, nice laptop but Vista ruined it.) Get one with XP, its now quite stable, SP2 has its bugs worked out and its a good OS still. Wait for the Vista pileup. Trust me. Wait.
  4. :Canadaflag: but everyone needs to be reminded, that majority of us were once immigrants. But us as immigrants adapted to the land (after killing off all the indians, not to be racist, just reminding everyone of this continents history)
  5. what I was planning on doing was making a custom slip in bracket for the cable that would run from the footpedal to the equalizer (thats what its called haha) I may extend the rod, I'm getting the assembly today and going to do some 'positive experiments with it.
  6. custom fabrication could work?
  7. well the buckets are a given, I'm doing the entire swap. Could I not use the splitter under the cab off an XJ on my MJ? Does the handle use the slide-in cable or a rod that runs back? I haven't had a chance to look.
  8. Id like to do this, as I despise the kick-pedal. (If I can get the console ebrake to work, my full and working racheting ebrake assembly will go for sale) anyone done this swap, whats needed? I'm using an '88 XJ console, has ebrake handle and everything.
  9. While it is theoretically possible that I could throw them on the trailer next time I visit my sister, that's not likely to happen until springtime at the earliest. well, the predicament is that they're buried under 4 tons of hay, mud and wood under a collapsed barn. We're definately sure about the 2.5 aw4 combo under there. Cosmetic surgery will be req'd when we get them out, the body was prettymuch shot and the drivetrain was still decent. I can wriggle my way in close enough to touch the right front fender but there's no room. Come thaw in the spring everything will come out. We've seen this XJ out driving as of 4 years ago, problem is, the grandfather was a big jeeper and kept all his old Jeeps stored under this barn under the concrete floor, where the tractors should have went. If those pictures in Charles' photo album are his grandpa with all those jeeps, this may be a holy grail for jeeps, as the pics show a FC, a few CJ's, A LWB '87 MJ with the 4.0l badge on the tailgate (which is still MIA). we found the cj's out in the field, except for one. the FC, the MJ, the XJ's, one of the CJ's and an old 50's Flatfender are all, and should still be, under this barn whch nobody really bothered with. His grandpa put the XJ in there after he had his first heart attack. he died 4 months later and the barn collapsed not too long after. Me and Charles are renting an excavator to dig out the barn. We may have found the holy grail of old, decent shaped, rare jeeps haha.
  10. if anyone wants to travel up here with a trailer to get these axles, they can have 'em for $25 cdn a piece. I'm doubting wether or not I'm going to swap the axles into my MJ, I'm waiting for a J-truck or MJ to stuff a 383/4spd into, so its all up in the air still haha
  11. the xj that my cousin just bought is a 2.5L AW-4 :D Or was, the motor is toasty and the block is now a boatanchor. I also found an '86 XJ with the 207, 5spd and no rear axle, the front comes out to 4.09 so, it should match my turdy-5 wqith 4.10's from my 2.5L 4spd. I'm debating on what setup to use haha.,
  12. I backed into a Telephone pole so I'm gong to Roll-pan it.
  13. my 'stribby is angled at the front. Oh, It'll fit, nothing a smoke wrench and BFH can't fix. I'm going to pack a 3" lift into the front when I wedge it in there, so it'll have an even rake.
  14. Not too far from me, we should start a Ontario MJ Club, Seems to be a lot of MJ's in Ontario, mostly southern and central ontario.
  15. I spy an Ontario Lic. Plate. where you located Slim? I'm in belleville, 2hrs east of toronto and about 45 mins west of Kingston.
  16. its a 383 and made this duster go like the hammers of hell, thats all I know haha. PO managed to force a 6pack onto it. Its a rednecked Mopar. come to think of it, its probably a BBM, dirty enough to be the original motor, definately 30 years of road muck on it. I completely forgot about Chev making a sb 383. This one is def. Mopar, block and heads are stamped, car has a VIN that comes back as a 383 made at Lynch Road assembly plant
  17. you know you're really crazy when you talk to yourself in a forum too.
  18. Ive got a SBC 383 4spd from a Duster at my friend's barn. Thats for my next MJ, I like my 2.5L, burn mah wheels, decent mileage and it passed the emissions test running on 3 cyl's (I forgot to put the plug wire on the distrib) Oiz.. Small Block Chrysler or Small Block chebby. make your pick, each end up as SBC :P could always be SBM (smallblock mopar)
  19. in the page of Mustang Survivors and Victims, pg 29 there's a pciture marked '73 Threespeed Coupe in the background, there's a blue MJ with a bedliner in the background.
  20. I like my dad's van, its handy, peppy and has power windows for when someone farts.
  21. I tried Frams, penzoil's, crappy oil pressure, blacker than death oil, so I use Napa Silver line of filters.
  22. any ETA for my sticker?
  23. ours is white. looks like a giant egg on wheels. Pretty decent, DCX sure got it right when they came out with the minivan back in '84
  24. I drive my dad's van from time to time. '01 Dodge Caravan. Its nice to have heat.
  25. I creamed some twat in a body-kitted cavalier while driving my buddy's 4" lifted '78 Suburban. Nothng like having his crapalier wedged underneath the bumper! NICE MJ! we need more nice 4banger mj's, prove to DirtyComanche that they're as ballsy as the 6cyls. :brows:
