Comanche Quest....something to make you laugh. (LONG)
H3RESQ replied to COMANCHEROB4WD's topic in The Pub
Ya, thats one ofI my favorites2 on theat website. I can't remember the website but it had a lot of pretty funny ones on there. That and the one with the guy wanting free kittens was pretty funny. Same kinda deal.....he wanted them to feed some pet he had. People with kitten ads didn't appreciate him much. -
Cooper STT's are a great tire. I've watched them outperform K2's more than once. There the best "mud terrain" tire I've seen. Great Offroad, and great on road. Yes they are Kevlar sidewall as well. I also like how my (new style)mtr's Goodyear Mt's worked. I don't know if either come in your desired size though. One thing I can say for sure is......no matter how good the deal DO NOT get toyo's. There great street and towing tires (probably the best for how aggressive they look) but with there load rating and sidewall design they SUCK Offroad and it does not help much even if there aired down. My 2 cents, Cheers.

My rear bumper sell fell through... here it is in for sale are. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=33346 My mods to bumper begin page 3 of this thread to page 6. Its beyond stout. And clearly has great protection. If interested my number is in for sale add. It is strong and works great for grading and scooping/short distance hauling of dirt.as seen in this video http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri= ... Omg....I just had a flashback to the early 90's. That was very popular then. Lots of Sami's, chevys, and Yota's did that with boggers or thornbirds.

I think that's what makes a good company great - Dealing with the critics. Rob :D Exactly! ....and that's what the pub/tech forums are for. ;)
-
Yes, exactly. Could not remember them all, but actually there are quite a few. (Btw: no prob on other thread, I didn't mind your post at all. I just didn't appreciate the other persons that was clearly a personal attack on me...lol),,,

.....also "the pub" is kinda of our say what you think, free to have an opinion section. Reading the Nate's thread will show its probably not the best area for company's to showcase a new product. No matter my opinion of a product, I think it should have a place it can simply be offered to those wanting it without backlash of opinion.
-
Clearly Nate's 4x4 is having a customer(friend maybe) post in here for the possibility of more sales. So we have Nate's 4x4, Ben, HEllcreek, and Zone Offroad. A vendor area even small would allow company's (corporate or individuals) showcase there new products, offer specials, etc. to us all in a area easy to find. Allowing us to compare side by side if you will. Also, this would be great for new members just getting on the board to find upgrades there looking for and not have to sift to find and separate products that are being sold new from used. This would also show them what company's support our love of M's right off the bat when joining forum. I know I wanted to know when I joined. I like to return support to those that support. I'm suggesting a clear easy area for this to be done. Maybe a vendors page, with a thread inside for each company. Jason

Congrats......pics?

There are currently 2 bumpers "for sale " in "the pub". Is it time for a vendors area? I see pub as "open" area for comments/opinions etc. Maybe for the sellers it would be best for them to have a moderated "VENDORS" area to keep posts to spotlighting there products, taking orders, and answering questions. Or...move such posts to for sale, since that's what they are. Jason

Details? I'm in need of a lighting upgrade. Thanks, Willy Got the headlight housings on ebay $32 shipped. They came with crappy 9003 bulbs and little blue "city light" bulbs in them. I chose the Diamond cut mirror housing but others are available. I changed the little blue bulbs to clear so they would not reflect blue, but don't have them wired up. Main 9003 bulb was replaced with Sylvania's top o line 9003 bulb ($60). Huge difference. Bulbs that came with headlight conversion were a little better than my sealed beam, with the Sylvania its WAY better. So I would say 3it times better than sealed beam -
I feel what your saying, and see and appreciate your more directed point to previous loose comment. That is why my comments were all in reference to bumper price/look/qualityprotection based on that its built by a fab shop not a "individual", and that I wondered why a individual might not save longer.. we all sadly have budgets, that's why almost everything on mine is used parts and self built (since buying already 97+ swapped for far less than build cost). Could have bought new....but then I could not have paid cash. No matter what we all continue to have a vision of a even better MJ no matter our budget or skills. Were all MJ guys. My tact was weak, but point was simply a fab shop should be able to build some form and function at that price point. Cheers to another MJ specific product. That is always a good thing.

Wouldn't have seen the hairstylist. With your mad fab skills, I was picturing a trade... Rob  catches people off guard a lot, especially if they find out after meeting me in person. I have always been into anything artistic. I almost went to school for CAD design, finally decided on a shorter schools time frame and the bonus of being around woman all day ;) Thanks for fab skills compliment. Cheers.

As for bumper....its "the pub" so as far as I understand my opinion is as good as anyones. I respect the simplicity of buying over building. I understand budgets are different for each person. I still stand by MY opinion on bumper. I didn't walk into someones build thread here guys.
-
Ok....I gotta ask, would this be directed at me? I read whole thread again and seems to be. Read this whole thread, viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29393 it will contradict your "stab" at me. As for the "budget part" ...I put my budget in one rig, not 4 and all the work since purchase is home built not shop, so?
-
Not everybody has awesome fab skills and/or lots of $ to spend on bumpers. A good bumper for the price IMO. Mediocre fab skills are all that's needed for this bumper. As pictured wholesale cost on steel and hitch and tow points is under $60 (probably less) At $219 as pictured its got a higher % wise profit margin than any MJ/XJ bumper on the market. A fab shop should have "awesome" fab skills. If this was a low budget home build I would say it looked good.

Page 6 of my build thread. I think this link goes to correct page. Hope this gives ya a couple ideas and helps. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=29393&start=75 -
That's an ugly bumper. Pretty classic backroads garage brew style. I'm always surprised people buy something like this when they could save a little longer and get something better. Anyone with a welder could build that. Sorry, I just hate seeing simple ugly crap built and SOLD by self called "fabrication/4x4" shops.

Got a new bed, decided since the Line-X needs work and the back drivers corner needs replaced, not just repaired I would start fresh. I'll be bobbing the bed and seeing if I can intergrate the 97+ tail lights into it. -
