  1. I'm sorry, but that ford ranger bed is just awful on that MJ, just awful! :dunno: Don't need to Taz.......... There's something in place where the "other" badge was...... :rotf: You missed that picture
  2. Well I decided I wanted to get rid of the heavy beadlocks and run something a little lighter. To keep beads on I'll run a narrow rim. Found this set of SUPER light 15x8 centerline hammers. They lasted 1 day. 2 issues, polished aluminum looks awful with my truck color, also the backspace was enough I had to run some 1" spidertrax spacers (not a big deal, but rather not run spacers). I couldn't stand looking at it so, while they just went on yesterday, they came back off today. My buddy did a quick powdercoat on the other set of rims I picked up. There a set of old Ultra's. I can not remember there name but they are the solid design that just has rivets. So they just got mounted, look great. I'll get a picture up soon. They ride much better than the DIY soft 8's and I can't believe how much of a difference you can actually feel in power. Anyway...here is the wheels that lasted from yesterday afternoon till today... The MJ about to get the freshly powdered Ultra's put on...
  3. What is AOL? Its a factory long bed that I bobbed. When bobbing it I brought it to the length of a short bed so a topper, tanoue cover ext could fit. I have an old thread (there is a link on first page of my current mj thread) that has detailed photos of bobbing the bed. Well done. This is not the guy that bought it from me. I'm not sure he even understands. I texted him some info about it and a link to the thread. He just responded with a "thanks for the info". He also does not mention its low milage on rebuild (I gave buyer the paperwork to back it up from shop that did the work) that had about 50k on it when I sold it. Its a super clean MJ, with no rust and very solid runner. Oh well, if someone snags it there getting a good deal.
  4. yes to rocks, no to mud! nice MJ
  5. :rotfl2: separate note: I guess I don't understand lifting, building, a 4x4 if its just for the street (that's what cars are for). Like hornbrod said, "to each there own".
  6. That's funny, The first thing I did when I finished my Aluminum links was have them powder coated black. All that $ for a polished shaft (hehe) will go to waste after a couple times offroad, and you will have to be under there polishing it by hand with FLITZ. Polished alum and chrowe is for hot rods only. Just my opinion of course. (all that said I just put polished alum centerlines on my MJ today.
  7. Congrats!!
  8. You will love the break. Its what I used to make my gas tank skid. Works really well. Fenders look great, and I totally understood why you did the two straight pieces back to fenders, gotta keep the flow going front to rear on the look. Also, I like the bed sliders much better flush and more so it will distribute the weight along bed much better than putting the pressure on all the inserts only. YA! and ......lets catch up this summer and make a run. I do know were going to Liberty or Naches June 21st weekend. Also Rubi and Fordyce Aug 4-9th. Otherwise let me know what is coming up that you have planned and lets get out there and run. ..
  9. Holy cow! Awesome truck, awesome build. I am not sure how I missed this thread, but so glad I just stumbled across it. Can't wait to see more!
  10. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/3828853465.html This was one that took me a long time to find, it was rust free and clean. I pretty much got it, bobbed the bed and then found my other MJ and sold this one. I wanna say it had under 50k on rebuild (with receipts) about 2 years ago...so still should only have 50-70k on rebuild.
  11. I really like the front "fenders" on that Toyota EXO cage. They look mean and real good the way the come back and out and then dive back down into the A pillar tube. Nice flow!
  12. Am I missing something? I see tube fenders blended into body and bumper, but I do not see an "EXO CAGE" on this Sami. I looked real close, I don't see it and can't imagine if its there that it works because it would have to be 1/4 O.D. to be hidden in this pic.
  13. It's not an "extra" frame, it simply is a frame underneath it. ;)

    Sick Comanche.

I am going with all show, there is no way that thing can flex without tearing those fenders, flares, and bumper up. There is a reason there are no flex shots. That said, OMG I love that color. Damn looks SOOOO good with the gloss black wheels. Just love it. The build, not so much. I can't handle rigs that are built/lifted but useless. And we all know Rusty's products have a fail tendency....
  15. Those look great, especially for not using a bender. Great job creating a esthetically pleasing slider with no curves! I am doing bed rails soon, still trying to figure out how I want to go about mounting them. I like your way, gonna look good. Wanna see them mounted up.
  16. Ya, first time I saw this was when it was up for sale. liked the stance too, I actually ended up making mine just a little lower though. My tires are just above the body line, this one has top of tires right at that body line and that is probably the perfect stance to shot for looks wise. Just found a hair lower looked a little meaner. Lot easy to adjust with coilovers than coil/leaf though. I can do a stance change in about 20min. Can't remember if it was a good or bad price or what. But liked it, and made me like idea of a black Comanche with silver or near chrome powdered bumpers and sliders. Clean. I'm also trying to remember what axles were under this. They were odd, and you will notice that it has hubs and is !6 lug!
  17. I think it looks great with the 97+ door and fender color, Especially with those charcoal wheels!
  18. just grill, look close and you can see the fenders are "squared" not "rounded" like 97+ It looks amazing in the very first picture. Should have left it red, and clean.
  19. haha, wow. Assuming is so bad. Alexia and sig. picture of cartoon girl had me thinking girl. MY BAD. No offense meant.
  20. Haha, that is to funny. I talked to him just a few days ago (Friday I think) he has it on Pirate too. Nice rig but I think it is in need of a little to much TLC for me and the underside is pretty tired looking on that Grand. I either want a really nice clean built rig that was a street jeep (never offroad), or I want a stock one to build myself.
  21. Kate and I'll be in Camas and Portland this weekend. Planning to take the MJ and spread her wings a little with the 70mph speed limit heading I5 south. PM if anyone wants to meet up.
  22. Congrats on getting it running. I know that feeling when you have been working on it and its been off the road. So flipping exciting to hit pavement again!
  23. OK, I'll buy one from you if you can program it to the milage I want. What ya think? I'll just have you program it a little over and then when I hit the milage install it! PM me. The engine had been running ten minutes prior to this. Notice the 210F on the temperature gauge. :) I shut off the engine then remembered that I should shoot a video or something. I figured out how to reprogram the gauge clusters. I actually have four spare gauge clusters sitting here to sell eventually. http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1098819
