  1. unfortunately I don't have a pic that really shows the side profile of my truck, I will have to get one and post it up but anyway. currently my truck is kinda sagging in the back, it has what looks like an add a leaf and some drop shackles in it right now and I think the leaves are a little flat. Right now I have a D44 I plan to put in that will be sprung over, I will most likely be cleaning up a leaf pack from my parts truck and adding another top leaf under the top leaf of the new one like Pete mentioned to do. I will probably take the drop shackles out of the equation. will this make my rear end way too tall for the front end? As of right now I have no idea how much lift is in the truck as I bought it with the lift already in it. I know this is kinda hard to say without pics and info on what lift is in it, but if anyone has any idea if it will or will not that would be cool. I'm just wondering if when I get the rear all done if I will then have to redo the front but bigger (which would be cool but its also not planned in the budget.) Jonathan
  2. You could get a memory card to transfer them on to and then put them on your computer, now they are relatively cheap so it shouldn't be too bad. another way to do it would be to e-mail each pic to yourself (long time and could get expensive) the other way is you would have to get a cable to connect you phone to your computer (plug into phone is usually either a 4 or 5 pin mini usb) then get some software like bitpim to transfer the files over. for more information on that check out www.howardforums.com the have a whole bunch of information on mobile phones Hope this helps ya out. Jonathan
  3. Did you get your door to line up? I have this same problem and I can't get it right. I really don't want to pull the fender off but if it works I'm ready to give it a try. I have not tried it yet, tomorrow I have off so I plan on doing some stuff on my truck, I have to cut out for the rear fenders, and clean up a set of leaf packs, but if it get those done or get frustrated I will give the door alignment a try, my header panel is already off so taking off the fender will not be that hard. Jonathan
  4. are the "new" speakers factory speakers or aftermarket? with aftermarket speakers the smaller terminal is the negative and the larger is the postive. this is the wiring diagram on the12volt.com: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/ste ... /1210.html Hope this helps, Jonathan
  5. Check all your connections with a multi meter, the aftermarket colors for power are: Red: switched power Yellow: constant power (memory retention) Black: ground there is also an orange or orange white on some, those are your illumination wires (I usually don't hook them up) blue white is remote turn on for amps blue is for power antenna then you have you speaker colors what probably happened is you constant wire fuse blew, that wire keeps power to the radio and to the clock to have them keep the time and radio settings. check all your fuses and replace any bad ones. Try this wiring diagram to test your wires: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/ste ... /1219.html so replace fuse, test wiring and then hook them up and you should be all set... hopefully. Jonathan
  6. This is also happening to my drivers side door, I'm pretty sure its just the alignment of the hinges because the door are ones I swapped in from my parts truck, and I also have them set up to be removeable so sometime in the process I probably misaligned them. I'm going to have to tackle the soon cause I usually have a puddle on my drives side floor when it rains, and I sprayed it with a hose the the water went right in and soaked everything, there must be a huge gap. I plan to take off the fender and loosen up the hinges then close the door and push on it till it seals up, then tighten the bolts through the hinge. Hopefully this will work, if not then I guess I will have to try to bend the frame in. Jonathan
  7. ok, cool. I was also thinking that I could coat the bottom of the bottom leaf with some of the spray can under coating that I have kicking around, it won't hold up to rocks but it should stop rust. or maybe I will just hit it with some black rattle can. also, does anyone know the average price of sandblasting? just looking for a round about number to do 10 leafs. Thanks, Jonathan
  8. I was thinking about getting my leaf packs powder coated but after talking to the guy that does it looks like it will not be the best solution for it. the leaf packs that i have are rusty so i want to have them sandblasted, then after that i want them to be protected as not to rust again. I understand that if I'm wheelin with it and smack it on some rocks that that part even if its covered with paint or somehting it still has potential to rust on me but I just want to make sure that the whole pack doesnt rust out on me. would rust preventive rattle can paint work well? Por15? anything else anyone can suggest? Thanks, Jonathan
  9. not sure if it came factory, but this is the brand that made my 4 piece slider: http://www.crlaurence.com/ProductPages/ ... 1770::1351 Jonathan
  10. Buy the wife/GF a Comanche, problem solved. Jonathan
  11. :huh???: I see what he meant, in the second pic it looks like there is a hole in the rear tire well, right above the tire. but you guys were referring to the last pic. Jonathan
  12. no more :redX:
  13. what you did there is point to your album, if you added a "/My89MJ.jpg" after "89mj" and before "[/img]" you will be good. Jonathan
  14. what you want to do is go you your photobucket account, not by logging in but by going to the sites main page which would be here : then you want to highlight the "Direct link" under the picture you want to share which is this: when you have that paste it into the body of your message and highlight it from the Http all the way to the .jpg that is the exact place where you image is being sored. then click on the "Img" button below where you enter the subject, second to last button and it should surround it with the "" tag and then it will look like this: Hope this helps! Jonathan
  15. Maybe someone could send them a thank you letter, and maybe some Comanche Club swag for theirs awesome portrayal of our beloved trucks. Jonathan
  16. I think that this would also be a good place to post up the sticky on how to post pictures, It looks like this is where people go to try out how to post pictures and if its at the top of the page they will have more of a chance of seeing it instead of looking in the forum problem/suggestion sub forum. just a thought. Jonathan
  17. If you are looking for a kit, there isnt one. if you have you factory radio brackets that is the best way to mount it up. you will probably have to drill new holes to get it on to the new radio. the other thing that a lot of people do is to dremel or cut out the opening in the dash pannel in order to fit the metal can or cage that came with the radio. I personally would rather do it with the factory mounting bracket though. Here is another topic about it. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... highlight= Jonathan
  18. I was hoping that someone would be able to post or send me the power mirror wiring diagram for a 1994 Subaru Legacy 2.2 GTX wagon. I posted this here cause its non-jeep tech hopefully its in the correct place. but have no fear this is for a project for my Comanche Thanks, Jonathan
  19. thats not nearly as big a gap as i though there would be, it looks as though if you had some good fab skills or didn't care about the prettiness of your truck you could round out the fenders to match. Jonathan
  20. I got a D44 to throw under my truck, I figure that I may as well go spring over while swapping it in. the leaf packs on my truck (long bed) are kinda saggy, I have a set off my old parts truck (short bed) and another set off my brother in laws truck (short bed). so are the long and short bed leafs the same? does anyone see any problems with going spring over using used short bed packs on a long bed? Thanks, Jonathan
  21. Good deal :brows: she like jeeps?
  22. Gotta get me one of them... and a camera too
  23. you could also just grab yourself a crossover. that way the radio still sees a 4 ohm load but it filters the sound correctly and sends the mids to the bigger speakers and the highs to the tweets. Jonathan
  24. Is there wiring already run for the knee panel speakers? I just spliced into the door speakers wire. I think the dash are just for 4 inch speakers, there is no point in aiming tweeters at your knees.
