  1. ok, got the tires mounted, thing is they couldnt balance them. they suggested what i think was the BB thing, they said they sell them in a bag and you throw it in and it bursts and then they self ballance. anyone running this? Pros and Cons? any other suggestions? how do they get installed? how hard is it to install? thanks. Jonathan
  2. ooooooh, looked around the site some more and found this http://www.crlaurence.com/ProductPages/showLine.asp?GroupID=2715&Path=::17381::21770::2715 repacement latches, i wonder if they are oem or will work with the oem windows? i hope I'm not jacking your thread, i wonder if this would be sticky worthy? or is this old news and I'm just really slow? :chillin: Jonathan
  3. just wondered if anone had looked any deeper into the window, found the company and they have 3 and 4 piece glass, if they still make them then that would be awsome, i think if i recall, my 4 piece was by them also i remember something like that when i was scraping all the stickers off my window. http://www.crlaurence.com/ProductPages/showLine.asp?GroupID=1351&Path=::17381::21770::1351 anyone every try ordering from them? maybe they have parts, like latches and such. Jonathan

  5. wow, i asked a local used auto place that sells a lot of lifted jeeps and stuff, they said first 15 a tire, then 20, my brother in law works at sears and they said 30 per tire, then the guy i work with, that picked up the tailgate for me also works at a local garage and he said they could do all 4 for 40 bucks. I'm just trying to get an idea on prices and who is trying to screw me. Jonathan
  6. so one of my coworkers was going to a Junk Yard today to find parts for a bike he is building, he asks if i need anything, i ask him to check and see if there are any cherokee 97 and up with a full front clip, cause mine is a little busted up so i mine as well do the swap. and as usual if he see a manche let me know, so he call me and says they have a manche, so i asked him what was on it and about the tailgate, cause mine has a good size dent in the top and it doesnt really open correctly, so the one he was looking at has a couple small dents, but it opens real nice, so he gets back and shows me his loot. then he says got a suprise, i got you the tailgate, got it for 25 bucks. only thing is its now at my work cause i can't get it home, no room in my car, too much loud stuff in the trunk. so here it is, stranded at work. i cannot help but think how much easier it would be to fix up my truck if i had a truck to lug stuff around. i cannot fit 4 33's in the back of my car or a tailgate, or anything good sized. also, just curious, how much do you guys get your tires mounted and ballanced for? size are 33. Jonathan
  7. the rockers are nice, unfortunatly i cannot take credit for them, i had them done at a local garage. he did a great job fixing a bunch of things, and for a good price. i wish i had enough fab skills to do anything remotely like that. Jonathan
  8. ok, so i got a plan and started cutting, this is what i came up with: i like the outcome, just need to do something to hold on the top piece, then get some metal for the back plate and find out a way to open it. Jonathan
  9. i really do like how that looks, i may take that line on the mirror side, if i still have enought material there and then go straight accross and cut off the handle. but i may have to go a little higher in order to keep the latch if i just go straight across. i wonder how it looks... quick dive back into photoshop  conclusion, i don't think that line around the mirror will work for me as i don't plan to keep the full frame, but i def like how they look on your truck. Jonathan
  10. i do like the looks of them, the only thing that would look kinda wierd is the little up angle that is needed to keep the handle. i wish there was an easy way to move the handel lower or to the top, to avoid making it go back up. maybe something like this would work: or maybe i will just make it a RAINBOW sorry, its getting late, and i just found that tool in photoshop. :brows:  Jonathan
  11. no harm, the no door is cool and all, but i just don't like how they look around the edges, just kinda not clean. anyway, i also don't want to draw too much attention from the people that like to give me little pieces of paper that make my money disapear via fines and insurance. Jonathan
  12. anyone want to get their suggestions in as i may start cutting tomorrow. i may try making a line like this (lock side) ____/ and do something like that and try to keep the factory mirror mounting place and then make a latch that will sit on the top that will be flat, i was thinking about the old volvo handles on the inside of the doors and putting it on the top, kinda hard to explain. i do like the white doors, but i already cut off the window frame and to me that doesnt cut it as a half door, i don't know just how i feel about it. anyway, get your comments or suggestions in before i cut this thing to hell. Jonathan
  13. how do they fit? i was wondering if i would have a problem with rubbing and the backspacing, but i think I'm ok, do you have any pics with the center caps? if they look good i may have to order some. Jonathan
  14. so i ordered my wheels from summit racing on the 23rd and they arrived today, the 25th, i got 5 of these: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CRR%2D3975812&N=700+4294923107+4294923106+4294923105+400292+4294795098+4294906458+4294906456+4294917250+4294906359+215+4294793325+115&autoview=sku now i need a day off to go and get my tires mounted on them and the truck should have some new shoes and meat. right now its meat is kinda deflated  Jonathan
  15. ok i have been planning on making half doors for a while now, i have cut the window frame off one so it looks like this: now, as it sits now it just looks like the window is down, no good, i want more off, but the question is how much? and where? here are some ideas i had: this one here is simple, take a chunk out, delete the handle and lock, but leave the triangle to mount some mirrors on. this one is similar, but i would keep the handle and the mirror triangle, with or without the little artistic notch under the handel. :brows: here i would kee the handle and delete the triangle, maybe throw on some towing mirrors or something here is the last one i could think of, delete the handle and the triangle, throw on some towing mirrors and call it a day. input would be great, hate it love it, how about this? all are welcome. sorry for the crap photoshop skills, feel free to show off your own. Jonathan
  16. so i may be better off drilling them out and then rethreading them and using a little bigger bolt? that may work for me.
  17. well, it does look like it would be hard to make a good first try and have it work, i may end up asking the guy who fixed up my rockers and floors to see if he can get them out when i go to get an sticker. Jackel, we will get our practice in by welding rocks to trees or something, and beer will be good, now i just need to get some time off work. Jonathan
  18. welll i have the 4 bolts that hold on the brackets for the sway bar stuck in the frame, This is not my doing, my best guess is that the P.O. broke something on the sway bar and tried to fix it by removeing it with a rock, then sticking with his cave man instincts of "Fire Good", he just welded brackets back on and by the way that the sway bar is still there you can tell he did a good job  now i have goopy welds and random parts stuck to the frame that i have to even out with a grinder, but I'm kinda stuck on removing the bolts, some will say "build up a weld and weld on a nut" seams like a good idea, i do have a welder, its downstairs sitting in the box, never removed, need to break it out and practice. is this something that any idiot with a welder could do? cause I'm the perfect canadate for any idiot with a welder, or am i going to end up as any idiot with a welder and truck with about 8 pounds of extra metal tacked to the frame? and suggestions will help, i will pb blast the crap out of them before doing anything, then I'm game, I'm not great at brainstorming ways to get the bolts out, if anyone remembers i just ended up swaping the yoke when one of the drive shaft brackets decided to shear off a bolt. THANK YOU!! Jonathan
  19. hope this helps, not sure on the part number though, sorry. Jonathan
  20. mmmmmm mentos anyway that should be a connector for a light bulb. Jonathan
  21. i have seen people use heat guns and pealing, or razor blade. Jonathan
  22. on of the last things i have to do before i can get my manche inspected is make all the outside lights work, the ones that don't work are the pass side side marker, the right blinker (that one looks smashed so it probably needs a new bulb) and the rear running lights. any suggestions on where to start? The front left side marker, i took the right side bulb, the one that worked, and put it in the left socket, still no light. any ideas? rear lights, i put new bulbs in them and they still didnt work, don't think its the ground as all the other lights in the rear work and they all ground to the same place. is it a situation where if one side goes out both will? if so thats dumb and i don't think thats the case. also, the right blinker works correctly but the left (posibly busted bulb one) clicks once and then stays on (this is judging by the lights on the gauge cluster.) hopefully this will correct its self once i replace the blinker bulb, or do i need a new flasher thingy? any: "do this now and it will fix your problem" or "this happened to me, do this" will be a great help  any: "it may be this" and "try starting with this" would also be a great help, just not as much as the listed above any: "that sucks" or "ha ha, ha ha ha" that would not be too great of help  any: "dude same thing is happening to me" i feel your pain, and lets nip this thing in the but together! sorry for the rambeling, I'm tired, and a little cold, brain gets wierd. :redX: Jonathan
  23. i will check to see if it has the key relaese. i cannot remember, so if it isnt there then it was a column out of an auto?
  24. ok, it loops around and attaches to the stearing column, if you were sitting in the truck stairing down the stearing column, it would attach at about 8 O'clockish after it attached i couldnt see where it went to. makes me thing cruise control, but i don't have that option, unless it was broken off. Jonathan
  25. I'm about 20 min from concord, deerfield to be exact (Deerfield fair, that helps jog some peoples memories) I'm not too sure where it leads to, i will trace it back someday, the truck runs for now so it can't be any big thing, to the most of my knowledge the heater and the controls work, i havent realy had it running too long, so i havent been able to check if all the accessories work and crap, just trying to get it fixed up enough to get it inspected. almost there Jonathan
