  1. I drilled a hole through the piece of steel that goes across the two uprights and put a lock through it and one of the holes in the Hi-lift. I can post a pic tomorrow if any one wants...
  2. Built a mount for my Hi-lift. Image Not Found Still need to find some one with really long arms to hold the backing plate up there so I can put the top bolts in. Image Not Found Image Not Found The bolts that hold the jack on the mount are the same size as the lug nuts so I can use my lug wrench to take it off.
  3. Mine slide up....
  4. WARNING: HURTS ALOT AND IS BAD FOR YOU!!!! Steps- 1. Scratch alot 2. Pour bleach on affected areas 3. Wait a couple days for it to go away That is what my uncle usually does... I usually take really long and cold showers, Ice packs help also. DON'T ITCH IT
  5. Haulin some wood: Image Not Found Image Not Found Pullin a little log :rotf: Pulled it down the hill no problem, going up hill wasn't so easy. Ended up having to cut it in half once we hit level ground. Dad and little brother in pic.
  6. My dad got the smart phone version about a month ago. It is pretty big but I can't imagine having a smaller screen when trying to do a internet search. The battery life is short but his will last all day where as my mom has the Droid X and she has to keep it plugged in several times a day.
  7. I had the Boulder before this one, it was pretty good to me. I used to chuck it at the ground all the time to prove to people that it was shock resistant. I also got it wet all the time. The front screen eventually broke when my friend thought it was fun to chuck it straight down at concrete from the second story at school. I was sort of worried about putting it under that much vacuum, but we have an extra phone that is identical i could use if it were to break. I had the vacuum pump running for about 30-45 minutes so it was a pretty deep vacuum. I was more worried that the plastic jar would shatter sending plastic shards flying at me, which wouldn't happen now that I think about it since it would have to implode.
  8. I have the G'zone "Rock" and it's water proof, or at least it used to be. Long story short, i got water inside it. Every body always says to put it in a bag of rice, but I couldn't find any and didn't want to go any were to get some. So, I thought of an overly complicated way to get the water out. I used a vacuum pump (my dad does HVAC), high pressure fuel line, and a plastic jar thing. I drilled a hole in the jar and threaded in a nipple thing, which cracked the plastic... So I stuck some dumdum on it and called it good. Ran the fuel line from the nipple to the vacuum pump. Put the phone in the jar and turned on the pump. The lid cracked more, which resulted in more dumdum... And it worked perfectly. :clapping: still not sure why I posted this... :dunno:
  9. On mine, I just stretch it as much as I can and then stuff it through the fire wall and there is enough to get it unhooked. As far as unhooking it underneath, It should just unscrew from the T-case. At least that is how mine is. Not sure about the "plugs" your talking about... :???:
  10. :agree: But a turbo manche would be pretty cool.
  11. Title any better? Not sure what to call it :dunce: , let me know if anybody has a better idea... That's part of the reason I started the thread.
  12. When I did the NV3550 swap, the Cherokee cross member didn't have the holes for the brackets that go on the inside of the frame rails above the cross member. I don't think that all of the Comanches came with those though, but it's not a big deal to drill four holes.
  13. Mine has three spokes, and I think its 15 or 16 inches, I could be wrong. It feels huge inside the little cab though.
  14. I think there should be a thread with all the different Comanche paint jobs, factory or not doesn't really matter. Post a pic of your Mj with a brief description or what ever, that way others can get ideas for their own Comanches. Keep in mind that colors don't always look the same in person as they do on the screen... This is mine, it's (as far as I can tell) the original white. Used to be an olympic but the stickers are gone. I rubbed it down with sand, really brightened it up. Good idea? Bad idea? Edit: Pictures kinda suck now that I look at them, sorry
  15. I just put the floor jack at what looked about balanced and lowered it. I had a second set of hands tho too. :wrench:
  16. When you park your MJ so you can stare at it while on Comanche Club
  17. My dad has a cj5 with the 4.2 liter and Mopar fuel injection, It sits for months at a time and fires on the first crank every time.
  18. You should probably post some of your questions in the tech section. You will get way more responses that way. :wrench:
