Been having a real annoying problem with my windshield wipers...they work when they want to...ill turn the switch on and it won't do anything and then all of a suddent they will turn on...Also if they are on and i turn the switch off they will stop where they are and sometimes won't return to the down position...another thing is if they are on and i turn them off and try to turn them back on they won't work either... I have completely replaced the wiper motor and linkage with a newer unit and now they move better than the old unit but i still have the same problem...any suggestions???

if its a 5spd...from all the 86's i have seen with a v6 and 5spd have 99% of the time been a 4.10 ratio

what was the engine/trans on the MJ.....v6/? Auto or 5spd

i would just pull the cover and check it that way....buddy and i were at the junkyard the other day and he found a d44 for his XJ and it was stamped 4.10's....he got all excited and instead of checking like i told him to he payed a hefty amount...got it home and it was 3.07's so now he has to spend the money to re-gear now :fool:

Flipped them over and re-inserted the sleeves and BAM...all is well now :cheers:

Well an update....couple weeks ago i finally finished up my headgasket swap and shes back on the road... :cheers: Welded the rear shock mounts on last night so i could finally toss the blown out stockers i had for temps...now i have a clunk from the rear... :fs1: ...think its b/c the shocks are mounted upside down....ill check into that today

that's a BS excuse. if you're a mod, do your job and browse the forums. you are a mod for every forum on comancheclub.com. if you aren't going to do that, then why are you a mod. I completely agree with the OP Look at the Moderator list before you talk...I'm only the MOD of the CLASSIFIEDS so i cannot do anything in the other forums...The only reason i come in here to is if I'm having a problem with the webpage as SHELBYLUV stated....i was told to enforce the rules and i did so without any issues...nobody else complained when their post got removed..most of them asked why and i gave them a response and instead of complaining about it they reposted with the correct format...Simple....IT easy...in your title put your location STATE(or state abreviation?) and it won't get locked/removed :shake: ....i was told to enforce the rules b/c i spent most of my time in there fixed incorrect title posts...i will not apologize for doing what i was asked

I wouldnt run Rancho's on it...i ran them on my MJ for a long time and they rode STIFF even on the softest setting....I run pro-comp ES3000's now and i love them

You don't have to run a 242 with a non-disco...The Np231 was kept all the way until the XJ's demise in 2001 and from 94-01 they had the non-disco'd d30

I run my disco'd D30 w/ YJ passenger 297X and cherokee 297X shafts and a CAD eliminator...i prefer it to a non-disco anyday b/c the cad ads a good amount of re-enforcement to the UCA mount on the Passenger side...just my .02
