  1. I have always loved how those steelies look on these jeeps. I've daily driven my 4.0 AW4 for 4 years, no regrets. It's nice driving something that I always turn around to look at when I park
  2. I saw this beaut in 2021 driving through Austin
  3. Any plans for that skid plate?
  4. Good to know. I guess I know what I’m doing if my NTK CPS starts crapping out on me
  5. Do you actually need the mopar kit or can you just manually shorten the wire and splice it?
  6. Woah that’s a really neat fix. Sounds pretty easy too especially for not having to worry about the CPS dropping out anymore.
  7. They didn't call him "The Sound" for nothing. Never doubt a jazz musician that smokes cigs right on his album covers
  8. So the common CPS issues stem from the connector itself? If you soldered the wires together, how would you check voltage on it? Or does that fix completely eliminate the need to do so in the first place?
  9. These are so sweet. I wonder if there are other colors for the monogrammed seats. A gray set of seat seats would look great in a charcoal interior. Someone has to pick these up. The tan interior already looks so great and these seats would make it so unique from other XJ/MJs
  10. Wow, I was a detailer for a year and completely forgot about these. Thanks so much for the tip
  11. What was your strategy on getting it off? I tried messing with it earlier and the pieces i can even get lifted just break off into hard tiny pieces. I fear I may have to tediously sit there spraying goo gone and slowly scraping it all off with a plastic razor blade.
  12. Thanks! Will keep the thread updated. I’m curious how much it’ll change the look of the truck
  13. Thank yall! I was definitely more leaning that way but I just needed that extra nudge because it’ll probably be a couple of years until I can put a new decal on
  14. My eliminator decal has seen much better days. It also abruptly stops at the fender because one of the previous owners put new fenders on it. I just wanted some other opinions on if I should keep what’s left of the decal or just pull it off now? I plan on getting another fresh one put on when I get a new stock bumper and non-chopped fenders. It just really bothers me that the decal stops at the fenders. It makes the color mismatch look way more noticeably and you can’t even really tell what it is anyways.
  15. Great pictures. Thank you so much!
  16. How much are we looking price-wise to update? I’m sure a handful of members chipping in would make it not too bad. I’d certainly help.
  17. What does the front skid plate look like/where is it? I’ve heard of it but clearly it’s long gone off my truck. AFAIK the whole front end got frankenstein replaced so it tracks that the skid plate is missing.
  18. Good to know I can get a set. I'll hold off until after I graduate but I'll definitely be interested later on
  19. How much did you pay for those?
  20. Ouch. Yeah the collector (or hoarder??) in me really wants to get another set just to know I have all the Comanche stuff. As mentioned before, I probably wouldn’t even put it back on because, since I don’t wheel, I don’t need the protection from skids as much as I need my tank not to rot.
  21. Actually that was my exact reasoning for taking them off. I was worried it would rot my tank. Good to know it’s an actual concern instead of just an assumption. I’m definitely still sad about throwing away something worth so much lol. At least I know better now
  22. My truck came with that two piece plastic skid plate on the gas tank. One was a flat rectangular piece, and the other was curved and protected the edge of the gas tank. for whatever reason a few years ago, in all my wisdom, I took them off and eventually they got thrown away when I moved. Knowing how annoying it sometimes is to get Comanche-specific parts, how big of a deal is not having that? How much do they go for? I can’t believe I threw them away. Even if I don’t need them it makes me sad I got rid of something likely on the truck since it was new.
  23. Just ordered a kit of firewall grommets ranging from 5/8” to 1.5” so one of em has gotta work. I’m excited to finally get this leak sorted. Surprisingly my floorboards don’t look bad at all. Just surface rust at most. I’m very grateful that the main culprit is not the cowl leak. Honestly I’ve been putting off figuring out where the leak was coming from for YEARS because the DIY fixes for that leak look like such a pain.
