  1. My eliminator decal has seen much better days. It also abruptly stops at the fender because one of the previous owners put new fenders on it. I just wanted some other opinions on if I should keep what’s left of the decal or just pull it off now? I plan on getting another fresh one put on when I get a new stock bumper and non-chopped fenders. It just really bothers me that the decal stops at the fenders. It makes the color mismatch look way more noticeably and you can’t even really tell what it is anyways.
  2. Great pictures. Thank you so much!
  3. How much are we looking price-wise to update? I’m sure a handful of members chipping in would make it not too bad. I’d certainly help.
  4. What does the front skid plate look like/where is it? I’ve heard of it but clearly it’s long gone off my truck. AFAIK the whole front end got frankenstein replaced so it tracks that the skid plate is missing.
  5. Good to know I can get a set. I'll hold off until after I graduate but I'll definitely be interested later on
  6. How much did you pay for those?
  7. Ouch. Yeah the collector (or hoarder??) in me really wants to get another set just to know I have all the Comanche stuff. As mentioned before, I probably wouldn’t even put it back on because, since I don’t wheel, I don’t need the protection from skids as much as I need my tank not to rot.
  8. Actually that was my exact reasoning for taking them off. I was worried it would rot my tank. Good to know it’s an actual concern instead of just an assumption. I’m definitely still sad about throwing away something worth so much lol. At least I know better now
  9. My truck came with that two piece plastic skid plate on the gas tank. One was a flat rectangular piece, and the other was curved and protected the edge of the gas tank. for whatever reason a few years ago, in all my wisdom, I took them off and eventually they got thrown away when I moved. Knowing how annoying it sometimes is to get Comanche-specific parts, how big of a deal is not having that? How much do they go for? I can’t believe I threw them away. Even if I don’t need them it makes me sad I got rid of something likely on the truck since it was new.
  10. Just ordered a kit of firewall grommets ranging from 5/8” to 1.5” so one of em has gotta work. I’m excited to finally get this leak sorted. Surprisingly my floorboards don’t look bad at all. Just surface rust at most. I’m very grateful that the main culprit is not the cowl leak. Honestly I’ve been putting off figuring out where the leak was coming from for YEARS because the DIY fixes for that leak look like such a pain.
  11. Persistent water leak after the rain on passenger floorboard. I always assumed it was the fresh air intake. It was wet enough day after to where it finally left a good trail and it’s coming directly from this hole with some sort of hose(?) coming out of it and going into the dash. There’s just a hole where light gets through. When I pull on the thing there’s a little cone shaped piece, is that supposed to plug the hole? If so, I can’t get it to stick. I read an old thread that a common leak point was the antenna grommet on the passenger side. Is that what I’m looking at?
  12. Just eliminating any possibilities. It’s certainly not the exhaust, correct?
  13. Just what I was looking for. Thank you!
  14. Sorry, I tried looking for previous threads as I’m sure they exist but I can’t find any while I’m on my phone. for the pre-HO Comanches, what emblems were on the tailgate? AFAIK there was a 4.0 litre chrome badge back there. if so, can anyone give me the measurements on its placement?
  15. Even with your lift and tires it's honestly ridiculous how tiny it still looks compared to these vehicles. I couldn't even tell you weren't stock ride height and tires lol
  16. Cool! Thanks for sharing. These pictures are awesome. Although, isn't that a YJ?
  17. Anyone else have their David v. Goliath photos of their Comanches next to modern full size trucks? It’s always so comical to see the size disparity and to realize that most have the same size bed (or smaller) as the Comanche

    Thanks guys

Nothing bad is happening, I just wanted to thank everybody on the site for how awesome yall are. I feel very lucky to already have gotten one of my dream vehicles (dream truck overall!) so early in my life. I'm coming into 4 years of owning this thing already and it's been my favorite vehicle that I've owned by a mile, but it was always kind of bittersweet not knowing any XJ people let alone MJ people to chat, hang out, and share the love with from 2022-2025. This little corner of the internet is so great and I love that I finally have a resource/outlet to let out my deranged and sometimes downright stupid questions. Thank you guys for having me!
  19. Ahh very good catch. I totally forgot it was a 2.5. My bad!
  20. It could be worth checking out the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator in that case
  21. That’s quite low. You’re looking at about 31psi at idle
