That bed liner finish was pissing me off so I punctured the cans, poured out the remaining material and rolled it on.

Saw it in person yesterday, the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s the nicest looking Comanche anyone will ever see.
-
If you add the VIN to the registry we can tell you if it’s a true Metric Ton.

@ghetdjc320 makes custom switch panel faces, look in the vendor section.

Cerakote does a good job on them. Just make sure to thoroughly clean them first.

I tried NTK, Bosch and OmixAda none worked properly. Let us know how the retest goes after the exhaust leak was fixed. Good luck.

This was my experience if you haven’t found it already.

Get yourself a Renix Engine Monitor, my guess is the O2 sensor isn’t working properly. New O2 sensors have not been working correctly, search the forum for more info on that.

Painted the interior yesterday. Used Duplicolor Sandstorm bed liner for the sleeping platform, the stuff is horrible to spray, the cans stop spraying, start dribbling and leave a third of the product behind. I don’t recommend using it at all. The bottom portion was going to be the same bed liner but decided on paint. Also, all my stainless hardware arrived so assembly will begin after a few days of paint curing.

Congrats, great looking truck. -
Work continues. Gave the tent an overnight Oxi-Clean bath which removed all the mold/mildew stains, I was amazed, pictures will come once it’s back together. Cleaned and repaired all the structural supports including the springs which turned out really nice. Before: After rust removal: After bluing:

January 2023 update, see first post. 22 new additions this month for a total of 2054. -
I drilled holes into the bed rails. You can use J-hooks that will grab the underside of the bed rails and feed into the box.

@eaglescout526 or @Pete M please move to 1989 registry, Thanks.

It is a Pioneer, in 89-92 the 6th position denotes the trim: 2=Base 3=Pioneer 6=Eliminator

Well I purchased a Crown one from Amazon PN 83501426T and it does not have the pressure relief valve and is a repackaged MotoRad. It’s going back.
