Was 45 and sunny up here in KY today.

It's been converted to duals, man. . :MJ 1: . Cool, it works for me too.
-
I don't give a chit, either. But I still say WTF? :dunno:
-
It has not worked for me lately since the website change. Let's see if it does now. :MJ 1:

And the aftermarket for these motors is great.

OK, "E" then. Sorry for any losses. Interestingly, I have had no friends hurt or killed on a bike. I have been slightly injured on one. (Scrapes). When I'm on the bike, I simply treat all cars like they are trying to kill me and I avoid cities as much as possible. I have had 2 friends and a brother-in-law killed in car crashes. I still drive a car though... Good luck with your decision.

D. Get a bike.

Consider this: You get a 5000 dollar truck. You get a 2500 dollar daily driver (Focus or Neon or some Honda) The truck gets 14mpg - the car 28mpg. These are combined city and highway. You average 12000 miles per year. You save $1457 per year in gas driving the car exclusively over the truck. DD will need insurance, taxes and plates. Subtract that from the $1457 DD will need oil changes and maintenance items (wipers, tires) Subtract that from the $1457 DD will eventually need something fixed. Subtract that from the $1457 It will take a really long time to make up the difference in cost to justify the DD. And that's a cheap DD. And that's if you pay cash. I didn't include interest. You are better off just driving the truck. If you want another car for a daily driver, then get one. But just don't think you're saving a ton of money in gas. It will save money, but maybe not as much as you may think.

Project Tough Truck

Cracks me up that on a build like this folks want to know about 80mph. Obviously this truck is not built for high speed cruising. :rotf: Read the stickers... Who's the old man in the pics? Grandpa? Going green. I like it, but would not go with all your Hogs stuff. Yea, your ex sounds like a real winner. :???: -
Do the hazards and turn signals use the same flasher? Replace it and see if it fixes your problem.

Lucky you live in florida and can get out. Up here, it's kind of cold. When the weather gets warm, though, I'm not thinking about the truck...

Looks like a nice rust free truck. Good luck with it. That is the color mine was stock. (Before all the wrecks) :laughin: Now it is just satin black rattle can. :dunno:

If I were to do a V8, I would not do the Chebby. Been done too many times. I think a 5.0 Ford would be a great swap. Light weight and great aftermarket support if you're into hot rodding. Get the one from the exploder and then swap in the Mustang (or aftermarket) cam and you'd have a nice powerful package. If that proved too difficult, then probably a magnum from a dodge truck. Don't do it with a D35, though.

Congrats. Freaked me out a little, because I posted the same title on my post the other day. I saw this one and said I hadn't posted in it. ?? Good Luck in your new position.

I agree with some of you on the "Salesman" persona. They definitely have a bad rep. I have dealt with several of them over the years and didn't like most. I have liked a couple of them. That personality is not me. I will have to try to sell, though. We'll see how it goes. It is salary while in training but then commission from there on. I'm doing it because: 1. I was unemployed. 2. I like to talk to people. 3. I love cars. If anyone is in southern IN that needs a car, let me know.

I think that late in the 04 model year, they introduced the manual tranny, but I could be mistaken. If it was, it was still rare. I would love a TJ Unlimited as well, but am not willing to pay the buy in at this point. I've seen some converted to baby pickups with a half hard top. Those are sweet. Check out Rubitrux or gr8tops if interested.

I am about to embark on a new career. I will now be a car salesman at a really nice dealership. GM and Chrysler. I always thought I'd be good at it, but didn't want to take the chance to try it because I have always had a pretty good job. Well, after 6 months of unemployment, I took a class at a dealership and passed all the tests and interviews. (I was the only one) I start Monday. Wish me luck. If anyone in the southern Indiana area needs a car, give me a shout. Mike.

They are all good. 4.0L inline six is the best engine. AX-15 is the best manual (5 sp) AW4 is the auto of choice. Look for Rust. Good Luck

Zack, The permanent free fix is what I am referring to. Like in Geonovast's sig. Click on the Lock your CAD in his sig. -
That's one of the few times I've seen someones creation and asked "why?" Can't drive it on the trail. I doubt if it's legal on the road. So, WTF?

What Exhaust Would You Run?
Dadinator replied to Timmmmmy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Have a flowmaster on mine. Don't know the model. Pulled it off of my donor. (Free Muffler  ) Cat has been gutted years ago. Sounds good. Not loud at all. -
Best forum I'm a part of. And I'm on several.
