  2. Put it in storage for the winter. :( It is in too good of shape to drive in the winter in Wisconsin. I don't need it turning into a rust bucket.
  3. KA9YJH, license is current but I have not been on the air for many years. I was active on 2meters but found too many "clicks" that would only talk to one of there own.

Jeeps that I have owned 47 CJ2A 78 J20 79 CJ5 72 Jeepster 85 CJ7 97 Grand Cherokee 89 Comanche 89 Cherokee 87 Cherokee 94 Cherokee 05 TJ I really would like to find another CJ2A or a M38 to rebuild. First I have to find a house with a large enough shop!!
  5. I have a rust free '89 w/4.7 stroker that is still available not too far from you.
  6. Had this But sold it for this
  7. I have a set of white gauges I bought on-line several years ago. They are the electro luminescent type, green - blue switchable. I don't think they are available anymore though.
  8. Thanks :D It was one of the easiest mods I've done.
  9. Mine is off an early 90's (I think) S10. It sits a little low but otherwise works OK.
  10. I cheated and am running a '99 style grill without changing the whole front end. The grill just snapped in place and has been there for a couple years now. I did put a zip tie on the bottom just in case.....
  11. Currently attending Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College for an associate degree in Industrial Automation, Controls and Networking. Will graduate in May. I am working on finishing my resume so I can get a real job :D
  12. In my 4.7 stroker I have HO head and intake on a Renix block. Being a stroker engine I wanted the most out of the performance gains. I have a bored out HO TB and Borla header. I used a HESCO TPS adapter. It's a little expensive but it makes the swap so much easier. The one thing you have to look out for is the HO block does not incorporate the knock sensor. I kept all of the rest of the Renix sensors except the EGR (HO does not use an EGR). I unplugged the harness at the control valve and have had no problems at all.
  13. The EGR on my 89 4.0 failed before I did the stroker swap. All I did was plug the vacuum line going to the EGR valve with a golf tee. I never had any problems after that.
  14. Thanks for the clarification. I'm not sure where I heard that but now I know it's not possible.
  15. I thought I remembered someone doing a heater core swap without discharging the AC. Anyone know if that's possible? I have already spent a ton of money getting my AC working and don't want to have to have it charged AGAIN.
  16. WARNING TO MEN: Police warn all clubbers, partygoers and unsuspecting pub regulars to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink from any woman. A new date rape drug on the market called "beer" is used by many females to target unsuspecting men. The drug is usually found in liquid form and is now available almost anywhere. It comes in bottles, cans from taps and in large "kegs". "Beer" is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and have sex with them. Typically, a woman needs only to persuade a guy to consume a few units of "beer" and then ask him home for no-strings-attached sex. Men are rendered helpless against this approach. After several "beers" men will often succumb to desires to perform sex with horrific looking women to whom they would never normally be attracted. After drinking "beer" men often awaken with only hazy memories of exactly what happened to them the night before, often with just a vague feeling that something bad occurred. At other times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life's savings in a familiar scam known as "a relationship". It has been reported that in extreme cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer term form of servitude and punishment referred to as "marriage". Apparently, men are much more susceptible to this scam after "beer" is administered and sex is offered by the predatory female. Please! Forward this warning to every male you know. However if you fall victim to this insidious "beer" and the predatory woman administering it, there are male support groups with venues in every town where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter in an open and frank manner with similarly affected, like-minded guys. For the support group nearest you, just look up "Golf Courses" in the yellow pages.
  17. Old man Murphy had worked down at the brewery for years, but one day , he just wasn't paying attention and he tripped on the walkway and fell over into the beer vat and drowned. The foreman thought it should be his job to inform the widow Murphy of her old man's death. He showed up at the front door and rang the bell. When she came to the door, he said, "I'm sorry to tell you, but poor old Murphy passed away at work today when he fell into the vat and drowned." She wept and covered her face with her apron and after a time, between sobs, she asked, "Tell me, did he suffer?" "I don't think so," said the foreman: "He got out three times to go to the men's room.
  18. Sorry for the crappy pics but it is not just a damaged penny. There is a a defined ridge around the coin where the face should be and it is flat. I doubt you could do something like that in high school on acid :D It was either intentionally done with some skill or it is a mint mistake. The lenses I have for my Nikon DSLR won't get a close enough image to see the details of the ridge. Maybe I'll try to clean it up and take some better pics.
  19. I was going through my spare change to roll it up (and spend it!!) and I found a penny that has no head. The tail side is normal but the head side is missing. There is a small ridge around the edge and the head area is counter sunk. Not sure if this is real or some sort of intentional modification. Years ago i saw a penny that had a dime inserted into it. Tail side Head side I was going to try and clean it up but don't want to mess with it if it's real.
  20. I think I ended up with about $3500 into my stroker. That was including header, new valve cover, new oil pan, ceramic coating on header and intake and a whole lot of little parts.

  22. I had the Borla for my stroker coated by Performance Coatings It came out really nice. I had them do the intake as well. I was living in Washington at the time so I took them to their shop to save shipping costs. They also have a military discount :D
