  1. Ok. Off hand, do you know how empty the tank has to be so that gas doesn't leak everywhere when I pull the pump?
  2. Is this hose on the supply side of the fuel pump? Or return?
  3. Ok, I will check that next. Can I check it without pulling the tank?
  4. No but it does have a relatively new fuel pump
  5. Did a fuel pressure test, fuel pressure with vacuum line hooked up is about 33 lb. And with vacuum line unhooked is about 42 lb. I did notice that immediately after priming the pump or shutting the truck off the fuel pressure started dropping.
  6. What's wrong with your drum brakes, besides the fact that they suck to work on?
  7. The OP didn't say what his goals were... I have decided to go with a built 4l60, as the tremendous upcharge to have a manual just isn't worth it for me.
  8. Depends how much power... I have been planning a turbo build for a while with north of 700hp... There is really nothing except the tranzilla 4wd tremec tr6060. Not sure how much it costs, but they used to have a t56 4wd for around 7k. https://rsgear.com/products/off-road-truck-transmissions
  9. Can I retrofit an 89 fuel rail to a 2000 intake manifold? Or an '89 fuel pressure regulator to a 2000 fuel rail
  10. Ok so little update on this, does anyone know what the fpr is supposed to look like and be rated at for the RENIX 4.0l engines? I believe I have the fpr for a 2000 4.0l, which should regulate the pressure to 49 psi. However, I have RENIX injectors from skankfoot. Would this lead to too much fuel being injected?
  11. Does it need to be a step bumper? I have a spare, good condition front bumper from an xj that was adapted to fit on the rear with all the bracketry required. Can send you pics of your interested. I am in Washington State.
  12. Diamond plate door panels would look sweet in a performance car tho - even if they are heavy af
  13. I think that looks sweet. All you need is speaker holes
  14. All you have to do to stop reverse grinding is disengage the clutch, put it in first, and then right into reverse.
  15. When you register your MJ in the Comanche registry you can request a build sheet I think. https://comancheclub.com/forum/28-comanche-registry/
  16. Put something stronger in, or it will just break again.
  17. Try putting in a cassette and running it, and press eject afterwards.
  18. Here's a visualizer. Not sure if it would be wise to do it while the head is on the block, as shavings could get in through open valves...
  19. You may also have to port match the intake side of the head, and if your feeling adventurous you can carve out a straight shot in each intake port on the head to make a better pathway for fuel to the valves.
  20. If you want to add noticeable power for not a huge amount of money, find a 99+ plenum intake manifold. You will notice the power. http://mallcrawlin.com/forum/showthread.php?6355-4-0L-99-intake-manifold-swap-with-REAL-DYNO-NUMBERS!
  21. Please put truck details in your sig. Engine, trans etc.
  22. Is it possible to put this all on a regular Comanche? And would you be considering doing a full kit like this for the xj?
  23. One day he will crack 2000hp with one of these. Probably not soon but it can definitely be done.
  24. I would send the head of your choice (except the Edelbrock) to clegg engine for a stage 3 porting job if you're prepared to spend that kind of money. And upgrade to a 99+ intake. You will have to adapt the TPS to the HO throttle body but if you can fabricate it's easy, or you can buy extension sleeves. I have a write up about this in the DIY section.
  25. Surprised no one has mentioned the fat electrician. Not for sensitive ears. https://www.youtube.com/@the_fat_electrician/featured These are probably my top five, in no particular order.
