the Skyjacker setup is designed NOT to bolt to the original factory lower mount, the original track bar along with the inverted Y steering linkage is doomed to bumpsteer the more you lift it.this kit it is a true bolt on set up, no welding needed, the only other way to correct your angles between the drag link and the track bar with an OTA track bar, are weld in kits. Not only does is line up the angles of the drag link and track, it also puts them on the same arc.

Interior colors/paint
motownXJdad replied to eaglescout526's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
So you all have just cleaned these parts obviously very well, and then directly sprayed the SEM color of choice onto the peices? , no primer before the paint color? who on this thread has gone from grey to camel or palomino? -

I used to think that Rat terriers and jack Russell terriers were the best dogs ever, my mind has been changed. Ill never have another breed from here on out, yes they are a little hard headed(all bulldogs), but they play hard, and they love hard. ive never had a more loyal dog and ive had german shepards, Airdale terriers, rat terriers and Jack Russels. on the right is a standard American bulldog, on the left is a staffordshire terrier.

sounds about right, but there should also be a heavy ground to the engine block itself in the general area behind\inbetween the AC compressor and alternator.

XJ dana44 swap questions
motownXJdad replied to motownXJdad's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ford 8.8 explorer rear diffs are the same bolt pattern as the MJ\XJ 5x4.5 so you get to keep stock Jeep wheels, comes with disc brakes, either a 373 or 410 gear and usually a LSD, and much like an LS are cheap and plentiful, but all the swap parts and labor will nickle and dime you to death but they are tough as nails. the later 8.25 have 29 spline axles and are plenty strong too. -
Death Wobble Questions
motownXJdad replied to trailturd's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
First immediate suspects are non adjustable stock track bar, stock control arm bushings, then ball joints, then tie rods, and hub unit bearings. yes youll want 7-8°+ caster for 31" tires or larger. death wobble is usually caused by neglected maintenance items in the front suspension. -
