there were pics of it on the race jeep MJ\XJ group on FB. engine combo looked pretty stout, custom intake, huge throttle body, good size turbo and intercooler, definately nice workmanship. i tried watching the live feed to try and see it, but David Frieburger gets on my nerves after awhile lol.

totally agree, i picked up 2 doors, a hood, a complete header panel, and a dash for 220$, rust repair sucks -
i worked for AT&T (ma Bell) and lemme tell you squirrells are a blessing and a curse to a phone man. they love to chew copper phone line wires, which gives a phone cable repairman job security, but it also pisses off the customer when the service is interrupted.

back in the early 70s my grandpa had a Willys(will-iss) wagon on our property in Indian River Michigan, that thing was so damn fun it was ridiculous, we had many a night shining deer and chasing elk out in the fields with that thing👍

never seen that color combo on a XLS, ive seen one black one, and all the others ive seen where white with red and orange stripes

just documenting my original interior before it gets disassebled and color changed to light tan. very fortunate to have a complete interior to work with, what ever grey parts are left, ill pass on for a great deal to someone who needs them. yay i love seeing that headliner from the previous owner lol

ive seen a few around town already, reminds me of a honda ridgeline, its a crossover with a small truck bed on the back. i prefer me and my dads real 72 grabber small tire streetcar👍

thats a great starting point you won't be wasting time and energy on rust repair. factory rubber floor is kinda rare i believe, its probably what saved the floors. good luck with the project I'm also doing a 2wd-4wd swap on my 90, I'm using a XJ cherokee as a donor for all the parts, seems like the cheapest way to go. -
that is super cool👍

thanks guys! Gojira94 youll love this😎 Pizzaman09 back in the day i was not a fan, but now i love em, gonna see if i can squeeze a 35-10-15 on her😁 scguy I'm hoping by the end of july-august 2023 itll be painted, the 4wd conversion and lift is this fall\winter👍 Its not much progress but it is what is. dropped in the liner and tool boxes and I'm diggin it. i am going to use a 4" hole saw to gain access to the tie down points in the bed and the boxes are just sitting there they arent bolted down, theyll come out for painting. I'm not sure how i wanna run them, front, back, or both on one side. love that minty tailgate and chrome handle. 8 cupholders for the win!!😁

they are great engines for sure, but apparently there was room for improvement👍

i bet a 4" hole saw will cure the no access to the tie down loops👍 -
Some of your favorites are mine too, especially the Willys wagon and the XJ cherokee challenge episode
