  1. if we are convoying down thru Ontario swing by windsor and pick me up lol. then we could head thru detroit and pick up pete as well? wish i could go fella's. my manche is almost road worthy just in time to start making it off road worthy lol
  2. tried to get underneath to see, but i can't see a darn thing n e way to actually tell other then to pull it everything apart?
  3. well these pics don't really do it a lot of justice, but my new 265/70/r15's look great on it, really complete the look. now once i get that damn cab off the back it'll really look nice. but seeing as how there is an extremely small chance there might be snow...but if there is i don't want to be scambing around trying to fins extra weight to toss in the back. the tires broke loose as soon as i hit the pavfement and gave it a little. just wanted to make sure it was revving right. n e who, enough jibber jabberin here some crappy pics here's the trailer tires. they were all mix and match...this one was a 215/75/r15 Image Not Found here's the turbines on the newish rubber. fills out the wheel well pretty nice, and doesnt seem to rub Image Not Found here's the finished look, its raiging pretty hard right now, i will get some better pics later on when i can Image Not Found
  4. thats the thingi was wondering about, cause i can hear the ticking, but i know that the 4.0's were kinda noisy. i guess I'm going to have to climb underneath of the jeep and try and see. the part that suck is its not like an exhaust piece, i can just stick my hand against it and feel for air....well i could it just wouldnt be the best idea i wouldnt think lol
  5. so my only solution is to weld the manifold, or get a stainless steel borla header? lol i was thinking i might have to change the o2 sensor, but i never checked the manifold. any usualy spot where it will crack?
  6. smells like i am burning an excess amount of gas, and its also idling i little rougher then i would like, although runs and revsup quite well. it was sitting befor i picked it up but i have no idea how long other then a basic tune up, what should i be looking at? its burning extra fuel i am almost sure of it, and it kinda a concern as i need it to pass etest so i can DD it any tips fellas EDIT: engine is a 4.0, sorry for not mentioning it cole it is the Renix system also, is there anything to use to clean otu the engine bay? does engine degreaser work well or will it mess up my electronics?
  7. my engine was pumping the white smoke out of it for the longest time. the water pump was gone on it at 140k km's and so i figured the PO porlly blew the head gasket and hopefully nothing more (like i warped head or something) now that ive got everything changed over, theres still some white smoke. i checked the oil, its fine no coolant in it, checked coolant levels, havent went down since ive bled them. now theres no more condensation that pours our of it when it runs. so maybe i got lucky? i dunno. don't mean to rub it in lol theres an xj down her for sale for 500 bucks with dana 44's and a 5 inch lift kit on it with a rebuilt 4.0 with 10k on it. maybe u could pick it up and have it shipped out there? no idea what shipping owuld cost though lol
  8. i managed to luck out the cab forward has very very little rust on it there is none on the rockers nore on the floor pans.. cab corners are good. one of the fenders is startingto break out a bit but nothing major. thebox is starting to break out though. i may have to fix it in the summer...but for now I'm just going to enjoy it
  9. i sold mine for 50 for the pair.
  10. you could always fix them? of course then again, where we live there is no point  i hope to redo mine someday
  11. lol it was 88swampedMJ, sorry for the pm
  12. here's my baby!!! 89, 4.0, AW4 Short box, body in excellent condition, d35 rear, 2wd, 140k KM's. i don't like the topper on the back, but it'll be good for some winter weight if we ever get snow. plus its great for camping and such. it came like that fromt he factory here's a pic of her Image Not Found *broken in* alternator Image Not Found new water pump Image Not Found interior is in decent shape Image Not Found dummy lights  that will be the first modification Image Not Found nice collection of 265/75/r15's total cost of all 8 was 25 bucks, 1 set was for free the other cost me the 25. all of them are good enough for a safety (over 5/32 here in ontario) Image Not Found factory tranny cooler!!! Image Not Found the new tires are much better then stock, i think its gonna look excellent. its almost as big as i can go without lifting. the lift situation should be fixed soon though Image Not Found turbines, they were refinished once, i will redo them in the summer once i can afford having them sandblasted by someone who knows what they are doing Image Not Found these were the old set of 33's i picked up for 50 bucks. they were goingn to go onto my first MJ, buti had to sent it to get crushed unfortunately...i have no idea where the 4th went in this pic. i was kinda upset to resellf them, but i made 200 bucks of off them. hopefully another deal will come up Image Not Found
  13. i tried the t thingy, will get some pics to toss up here. it worked pretty good, i ended up putting in about 8L of fluid. i know there is still a lil air in it, but I'm going to run it a little first and try and see if i can work some more of the air out. hopefully i did it correctly as i had NO IDEA what the heck i was doing..lol but it was fun n e way getting my 30's mounted to the turbines tonight and will hopefully have it up on then by tonight. pics as soon as i can get the camera working on my laptop
  14. i vote mercedes I5 diesel
  15. it bubbles out the top when its trunning though ive read to put some type of t valve in the line coming out of the top of the rad?
  16. t0ns of air in my closed system any idea how to bleed it? ive never done it befor andi have no idea where to do it from someone give me a hand?
  17. nother semester of dealing with the engineering BS, one step closer to finally getting my degree now its time to work ont he manche. pics will beup soon, hope to have it running by tonight, no wheels on tomorrow, safety and etest thursday wish me luck!!
  18. yeah its pretty nice, i'm not sure what nothern michigan is like, but i know the sand dunes is similiar trail wise. the farther north you go the more difficult one you get into the canadian sheild. not to mention there are ghost towns everywhere!!! man i can't wait to be aqble to wheel my manche
  19. that is true, but if you ever felt like taking a trip, northern ontario is suppose to have some awesome trails
  20. u think Ohia is crappy? Try living in Windsor, its the exact same except we get all the air pollution fallout from Ohio, the air quality here is absolutally aweful...
  21. builder a stroker! the price of building a stroker and rebuilding the 4.o back to stock are almost the same. then you get the power, the torque, the reliability of a fresh rebuild annnnnd you can say u did something different. Then you can let me know how it went so I know who to talk to when i do mine lol!!! what size chebby u lookin at?
  22. i found this rebuild kit that is suppose to stop blow-by that apparently all jeeps have. anyone else ever have tht problem? is i worth pickin up the kit?
  23. but uve never even tries morton terminal here in windsor... its super tiny, and not really a whole lot of hard obstactles but u can bomb around in it if u ever got bored
  24. i imagin the answer would be yes, but u may run into alignmen issues later when puttung the next tranny back in. it would probably make it eaier to get the bellhousing off though if you want to go that route? even with my 4.0 out and the pukegoat attached i still couldnt get the damn thing off....
  25. how big of a pain is it to fix this little problem??? at 140000km's, mine has a nice puddle on the new and now stained cement...
