    Worth it?

    hell yeah id buy that
  2. good deal. whenever i tells someone about here i always throw in something like, "its all comanches, all the time" just to get the point across thats its not just another jeep forum
  3. the way i always know its a MJ bar is the kickers mount to the front of the wheel wells and theres always two light tabs. mainly its the kickers that give it away. i don't know if there was another bar like that even made. for fifty bucks id go for it. just out of curiousity where is that one located? i know a guy a selling one with a "slight bend" for fifty bucks but never heard back from him.
  4. i also work constantly outdoors, so I'm pretty used to it. sweating bullets non-stop is just part of it down here. drink plenty of water and make sure to take breaks. it does suck but hey its where i live 8) at least I'm not in the midwest where droughts, wildfires and hotter than here temps. we just have the humidity hardcore
  5. finally installed my MOOG ball joints. then i gutted all the CAD stuff and made a cover plate. cleaned the axle tubes and installed Alloy axle tube seals. which are bitchin as hell. got my new hubs and shafts ready for tomorrow when the RTV cures fully and ill be wheelin again! ah and I'm having to replace the rear pinion seal on the turdy5. maybe i should just swap the 8.25 in already
  6. That varies from person to person and is an awful blanket statement to use in any of your arguments. Marijuana effects my senses and abilities in such a way that I would be utterly and completely useless on any job. I can put back a few beers and be buzzed (not drunk) and perform my job flawlessly. It all depends on the person. However, that doesn't make either scenario right. Save this BS for the weekends or after work. I don't understand the need for people to constantly smoke up and get high and/or get drunk. Are those people's lives really that mundane where they need to use a substance to keep things interesting? Get a hobby. thats true and i didnt think about that. ive got friends that can't do $#!& when they smoke but when i used to, i could do anything just as if i was sober. so yes it does depend on the person but those guys look like they've been at it awhile so I'm sure they can handle it. and i also agree with your second statement. however not everybody does it constantly. i don't drink, so id smoke a little every now and again to "relax" but people who depend on drinking/smoking really should get a new hobby and save it for the weekend/after work
  7. Yeah, I'm sure Lee Iacocca was blasted out of his mind at HQ all the time. Who give a @#$%? Hell, if I'm going to buy Chrysler, do I want my $40K vehicle assembled by a bunch of doped up clowns? your missing the point completely. its now said that over half (maybe even a third) of the US population smoke weed and growing. it doesnt effect you like beer and if you ever smoked, you know you can still do your job just fine. espcially one thats the same @#$%ing thing day in and day out. so you think the few people they caught doing that are the only ones. no, they were just the dumb ones that went to a public place on a daily basis. I'm sure at other car companies the same thing is happening. they just know how to get away with it and lets face it, detroit isnt the best place in the world. surprised there isnt more going on then just beer and weed. thats when id worry, when a tweeker who's been up for days makes my car. and yes I'm sure whomever you listed could smoke. you don't know them personally. they might take lunch break and go get high, then use eye drops. so many high up/low level people i know, do. hell weed is becoming legal anyway. so id like to hear your arguement again in a year or so :chillin: if you or anyone else has a problem with it, tell me this. what happened to all the drug tests they are supposed to be given? what, they do it, ONCE when you get the job or IF you get hurt ON the job. wow. if it was such an issue, companies would dish out the dollars to clean up but no one cares because the work still gets done on time and correctly! i will say though getting, pretty much drunk, on the job isnt cool. thats when issues can come about more so then if you were high.
  8. I'm wondering but i think i already know the answer. will 4.10s but good enough for 33s or would it be like my 31s on 3.55s now?
  9. x2 just get another d30. you can build them to last awhile. plus I'm sure another 30 costs a little less than a "44". if you really have a bending problem, add gussets edit. oops, truss as well
  10. :agree: yup only thing you have to do is grind around the center hole a few times and itll side right on. i used my dremel with a grinding stone. only took a minute
  11. If you find a better price on the Spartan Locker than we have it listed the company is in breach of their contract with Yukon. We have it listed at MAP; so you shouldn't find a better price anywhere on it. If you consider that "jewing" that's fine; however we honor our manufactures MAP policy and will continue to honor their request and abide by our contracts with them. first off. glad you posted up. wondered if you would. like i said before, just search yahoo, google, whatever and youll see several places that sell the dana 30 spartan locker for at least thirty bucks cheaper then you. i don't know if those places make up the difference with shipping or how that works but I'm looking to save.
  12. ive got Zj discs on my 8.25 out in the garage.

    SWB Roll Bar, TN

I'm in Memphis, TN. just seeing if anybody was close with one for sale.
  14. the thing about Motion is they jew you hard on some stuff but not on others. i don't know what all parts exactly but i know i won't be buying my spartan locker from them thats for sure. i think i got procomp 1.25 coil spacers for 30 bucks on summit or jegs. pick an item you want and search for it with yahoo, google whatever. youll find out what a base price is real quick
  15. sitting side by side i can see why. the koyo looked cheap. the timken looked like a solid hub. even spinning the two the timken felt, tighter, i guess would explain it. anyway i didnt pay for a "just as good" koyo hub. i paid for a timken. :thwak:
  16. i recieved my two hubs today and when i open the box one clearly is timken but the other I'm not sure about. i thought our timken hubs had black studs and obvious markings like TKM stamped on. one of mine has chrome studs and no timken marking whats so ever like the other. did they send me the wrong one or what? ill post pic if needed. edit: called the company and told them they sent one timken and one thats a Koyo (?). they're sending out a new one as we speak
  17. buy a decent 15x8 for offroading but on the other hand I'm using the sawblade with mine. either of those top two would be fine for street.
  18. just think of how many "higher ups" toke up and drink on the job too. sure they're smart enough NOT to do it in public but hey as long as they are doing their jobs, who gives a @#$%
  19. i hope you put those sliders to the test. hell you've got a locker too. should of tried to crawl over some of that $#!& man!

    Nice find today

for the first time a comanche made its way through a JY down here. smashed in the rear so the tail lights, leaf springs and rear end are all worthless. i grabbed side vents and badges. ill go back and get the vin. sweet find
  21. ordered some timken hubs and picked up axle seal for one piece swap. just need gears, locker and maybe a gusset or two, the 30 will be done!
  22. ive got a 96 cover on mine with perma-dry gasket. another great mod. hoses are bigger and mine pretty much worked right out. although i had to add about 6 inches of hose to spread the gap from the back. I'm more the willing to throw a pic up if needed napa should carry all the old and new hoses though
  23. yeah see, you knew what you were doing  front end looks good. since thats a newer 8 slot you should of cut off that top piece above the grill and kept the full metal trim line. smoother line that way
  24. good stuff. I'm about to swap out my shafts for the one piece so this saved me the time from searching!
