  1. So just got my rear axle back. Full rebuild, new gears, and new limited slip. Currently breaking it all in. Bunch of different but similar ways to do it. So far I've done 3 short 15 minute drives keeping it under 40 but mainly 25 to 30. Tomorrow I'm going to my buddies which is about 60 miles away, all highway. Is it safe to take it on that drive? It'll have a full day to cool down and ill keep it at 65. I have my big road trip next weekend and I need to do the 500 mile break in before that and this drive will definitely help. Thanks.
  2. The Novak radiator is similar to the original in size right? If so I have the dirt bound triple fan set up on my Cherokee with the 4.0 and 3 spal fans and it works really well. To me the 4.0 seems to run hotter than my LS but that just could be me. To cool the Comanche I used a 22x19 generic sbc rad with a single 16 inch. Never ever gets above 205f even sitting in traffic for over an hour. But like you said with the winch it probably won't work. I had to cut my lower support and it hangs almost to the bottom of the stock bumper.
  3. If I had more than just the weekend I definitely would. Just started a new job so absolutely no time off available. I'm leaving Friday afternoon for Detroit, show is Saturday, then back home on Sunday. Once I get some time I'd love to make a real trip out west.
  4. Yeah the walboro 255 is probably what I am going with. I would like to keep the stock tank for now. I got a new MTS sender and it seems like the 255 should fit fine. I priced out a holley external with filters and your $800 estimate is definitely on point. Problem is most externals don't like siphon style fuel systems, so the tank would need to be modified and at that point fuel cell it is. So for now I will do the stock stuff with a walboro and see how it goes
  5. Pressure for the LS is 58 psi. The jeep pump works great and achieves that but I think it's running out of LPH in the upper RPMs. The engine leans out when really getting on the throttle and it feels like it just hits a wall. I haven't pushed it because I don't want to lean it out bad. I ordered the new MTS sender for $90 of ebay and I'm thinking I could probably fit a walboro 255 or similar in the spot. It has the overall same shape as the factory pump.
  6. Only a week and a half until Roadkill Nights in Detroit....no big deal...
  7. Yeah. Its running out of fuel like 5.5k and up. I never took it that high with the ax15 so I only figured it out the PA trip
  8. I need more fuel for my ls. Don't really want to run a cell and most in line pumps don't like siphon feed. Rather than mess mine up with trying to get something to work I'd like to buy a new sender and use that. Are these legit? https://raybuck.com/product/1986-1992-jeep-grand-wagoneer-gas-tank-sending-unit/ Also if anyone has any experience with fitting a different pump on these senders I'd love to hear it.
  9. I thought about a cowl intake but the less hose it's sucking through the better. And it does see rain but if it's bad I ain't driving it. I thought about an air intake hole in the bumper and some mesh over it. Keeps it kinda high still. Only thing I got is the steering brace. I think I may need to run stiffeners eventually.
  10. I have an open diff at the moment, couldn't embarrass myself doing a one legged burnout.
  11. Working out some bugs I found after my trip out to Carlisle. One of which being how hot the intake temps were while sitting in traffic. Trying to figure out a real legit cold air intake for this thing. My idea is to build a box for the filter completely sealed, and then cut a 4 inch hole below it, and have a hose routed through the fender area from the fog light opening right up to the filter box. Would it be okay to cut a hole right below the filter, will it affect anything structural? Open to any and all ideas. I do not have much room anywhere else except where the current one is at.
  12. Definitely gonna have to be a burnout next time
  13. About 20 minutes away at a cracker barrel. See ya guys tomorrow!
  14. In my xj I have a cold case full aluminum radiator. I think it's pretty new because I had never seen that brand for our jeeps before. But I tried it out. They have great reviews for other vehicles. So far it's been great. I also have the dirt bound off-road 3 electric fan shroud and 3 spal fans. Factory water pump and 195 t stat. I have the fans tied in to the factory fan wiring so it runs exactly as it would (correctly with relays of course) been running it that way for 4 ish years and even in dead summer it never gets above 217, even with a/c.
  15. So just replaced my stripped window regulator to a "working perfectly" manual regulator off eBay and it's worse than mine was. Won't pick the window up from any position. Atleast mine worked till about 1/4 inch of glass at the bottom. Anyway, trying to find a good manual one seems hard as all hell. New power can be had for like $45. Any chance the worm gear can be swapped from the new electric to my manual? Or any other fixes?
  16. There's a pretty large Sheetz right off 81 into Carlisle, about 5 to 10 minutes from the fairgrounds, we could maybe do? When I registered mine it fell into the unlimited section so idk if that means I'll be with the other mjs or in another spot.
  17. I'll be there the whole weekend with mine
  18. Antigravity batteries are stupid light and compact, but the price is not.
  19. I had kumho ecstas when I had 15 inch rims. Not bad a "summer performance tire". Then when I got 17s I had falken azenis fk510s. GREAT tire. Super grippy and amazing in the rain. Recently just switched to the general grabber UHP. It's considered a performance SUV tire. Don't have alot of time on it but so far seems great. Alot of the RAM and jeep SRT guys run them from reviews I read. These are all performance summer tires.
  20. Yeah that's fits the wheel well a tad better...
  21. Girlfriend had this commissioned for my birthday. Now I have the motivation to take the picture for real.
  22. I have the wilwood master already. I had taken a new master with a plastic eyelet and threaded it on the rod, the jeep push rod is just different enough it wouldn't sit in the wilwood master. But it sits at an angle and is definitely messing with my pedal pressure. I ordered a heim and will try to make it work without cutting the piece of the pedal first
  23. I believe those are for the axle pedal box shaft. I need the single one that goes on the clutch master pushrod to pedal
  24. Not that I've found. I think this is the # J4007472. But no luck on finding one
