Slave went out again last week. Called Novak up and chatted with them as this would be it's 3rd rebuild. They sent me a whole new slave thinking the casting was off on the original one. Got that put in today and seems great. Also swapped back to the rear zj springs and got new bilstien shocks. What a difference in ride quality. Also put new poly bump stops in. Definitely way better ride this way. Now to just get some bilstien for the rear.

Nothing major that really stood out. My build thread is in the hardcore section if you wanna check it out. I will say going with the holley standalone system was the best decision ever. Ah that's right! That Novak radiator looked beast, just a tad expensive for me lol -

22x19 radiator works good. Need to trim the front cross bar a bit but mine fit great after a small amount of work and it cools it great. I got a summit brand 3 inch core -
Been 95+ here in NJ for pretty much the past 2 weeks. Truck is doing great. Coolant temp never gets above 205. Air intake temps are a different story. Does perfectly fine when moving but if I get stuck in traffic they climb very fast. 140+ is a no go. So I made a shield for the filter and wrapped the pipe. We'll see how it works. I really wish I went with A/C...

This is my other hobby when jeeping isn't taking all my money... 55 gallon. Just got it all set up and stocked. Just waiting for the plants to grow in.

got a new stock slave in and it definitely fixed my problem, but autozone quality strikes again. new master lasted ONE day. started leaking and I only found out because my turn signals stopped working and when i checked the fuse it was melted and wet with brake fluid... stuffed some papers towels under the master and hosed down the fuse block with electrical contact cleaner. the block itself seems okay. new fuse fixed the turn signals so I think I caught it in time. New LUK master is on order.

Well I have ran into my first couple problems. 3 weeks with no issues was too long without a problem I guess the jeep decided. Clutch started dragging. Felt like bad syncros but in every gear almost instantly. Found the slave leaking so I rebuilt it (Novak slave). All was good for about 4 days and yesterday the clutch started to not fully disengage again. Slave wasn't leaking this time. It was after a pretty long day of driving in 90+ so I considered i boiled the clutch fluid. It was murky and frothy so I drained and refilled with dot 5.1. Higher boil point. Better, but Still not fully disengaging. Adjusted the push rod on the slave and still issues. I'm gonna try a new master cylinder but the stock one is only a .688 bore and slave is .75 so I'm thinking its not moving enough fluid? 1997 to 2001 xj master is .71 but mounting is not the same. Cj7 master is .81 which is larger than the slave but Novaks site say it should work. Maybe I'm not moving enough fluid or master is going out? Weird how it was fine for a while and now giving me trouble.

And we have light. Thanks for the help I would have had half the jeep torn apart trying to get power
