  1. You have to look at 84-90 XJs. It’s above the brake pedal. Or you make your own. I’ve found that both 4 wheel drive and cruise control Jeeps will have the bracket.
  2. Fuel lines and vapor line have been swapped into place. I removed the front drive shaft for future removal of trans/t-case. Everything is falling into place. I need to remove the sending unit and put the new EFI unit in the tank. Once the fuel system is set up, the wiring for the ECU with system sentry will go into place then the intake manifold and then vac lines. Once that’s all set the trans will be dropped to swap bell housings and transfer case.
  3. Another valley MJ. Sweet!
  4. No, there a wire for a work light under the hood. From time to time we get folks who don't know what the wire is for and plugs it into the spade terminal that is exposed on the coil and it will keep the coil on. Now if you suspect it from the dash side, you will want to check the actual ignition switch itself and make sure its not melted.
  5. Make sure you don’t have the hood lamp plug plugged into the coil if your MJ isn’t equipped with the hood lamp. the factory did use duct tape on their splices…..and as are the crimps. It’s AMC, you have to think cheap when working on these Jeeps.
  6. It’s a 2.5L cruiser.
  7. Inside the bonnet is a check valve for the those two air lines. I have never found their true purpose. But it runs fine. When I got my MJ, the one on the manifold was plugged as the line was broke, same with the other one but I never noticed a difference since I added new lines
  8. Controls for cruise can hide in plain sight if you are not familiar with GMs multi control turn signal stalk. The controls should be there. If no, then someone replaced it at some point with one that either controls your wipers with two speeds or the intermittent.
  9. Update time!! Ok...what are we looking at? The same pic? Kinda, fuel lines are now missing and the EGR tube is now the EFI one. What about here? Easy! Fuel pump has been removed and the EFI distributor is now in place. I am getting closer to getting this XJ set up and ready. I am working on the fuel sending unit and removing the tank breather line to put in the EFI one. I also forgot to say that the ICM bracket is also in place and has been for a bit. All the holes lined up and no drilling was needed. AMC really thought this ahead.
  10. I’d never haha. But that being said, I feel like there is no correct answer to this. Number 1 answer has to be put it where ever the hell you want.
  11. Does this question pop up a lot?
  12. I think I have a sanden rebuild manual that might be able to help.
  13. Another control deck. Preferably a AC less Jeep.
  14. Oh, you want one of those? I think I have a metric ton of the interior door handle bezels.
  15. Ooook….it runs from the kick panel to kick panel tucked close to the firewall foam.
  16. The path for the power doors runs the same as an XJ.
  17. I’d get the bumper too. Doesn’t look bad and completely restorable.
  18. Perfect! What you grabbed is perfectly fine. Shame about the liner, it’s the Comanche stamped one. I'm surprised to see another 86 XJ that’s power lock only. I’ve only seen one.
  19. Back to what is commonly said around here. People throw away perfectly fine things.
  20. Depends. They rarely pop up and when they do they go fast. $25+
  21. Front license plate mount on the XJ is worth a snag too. Those sell very quick to any XJ and MJ person.
  22. @boxyjeep
  23. Yeah I can pay for shipping.
  24. Shame it’s a short bed. You know what, I could make the moldings work for me.
