  1. Not necessarily, that screw just adjusts the tension of the spring that pushes on the diaphragm. Changing the diaphragm doesnt mean you have to adjust it for pressure. Now if you had to change the spring and that little metal bowl thing, then I would imagine it would need to be adjusted properly. No problem. Hopefully all your problems will be solved. If you do the fuel pressure gauge, let me know what all you cobbled together for it as I'd like to have it when diagnosing issues.
  2. Sounds like a plan. So get this. My original throttle body had the solder missing, not sure why but any service history with my truck before me and my grandfather is unknown. I had a second throttle body in which I used to swap because I broke one of the injector screws off in the body and it had the solder still over that screw. So I left it alone, I often think I should’ve put my original one on the swapped bowl but I figured it was done right and the pressure ought to be what it should be. Haven’t had any issues. Now what I’d like is to have a pressure gauge to screw into the throttle body so I can always see the pressure.
  3. I remember using the one above it and swapped it for a solid one. I bet if you ran your engine right now, you’ll hear a high pitched vac leak right at the base of the TB. I guessed at the time I did mine and thought it didn’t matter because I thought the base of the TB was solid until I started her up after installing the TB.
  4. Wow. That’s gnarly with years of neglect. Mine wasn’t even that dirty when I rebuilt the body. Did you put the right throttle body gasket on? I accidentally put the wrong one on and had a vac leak at the little pin hole closest to the drivers side. But that’s fixed now.
  5. I wonder if they pressure regulator is failing. Have you ran the truck long enough to see if there’s any leaks around the body?
  6. Lots of guys I’ve spoken to have said they wished they got their eagle but there’s nothin wrong with that. The journey is the best part. My biggest regret is not fillin up the sash. I had more partial merit badges than I should’ve had. But problem was was finding counselors for them and completing them.
  7. .
  8. Most current part number. I have the kit actually sitting in my parts. I asked a while back if anyone had tried to install the newer style hinges and didnt get anywhere.
  9. I kinda like that set up. Now if the flooring wasnt black vinyl then I could probably see an overabundance of the blue.
  10. Theres none, Chrysler probably dropped those faster than a hot potato when they made the new style hinges.
  11. Applicable to only the VIN you have.
  12. 05014090AA Kinda expensive but its a kit and you get two hinges to do a whole door.
  13. There are later style hinges available, they come as a kit from Chrysler. I have a kit, I would love to install it but have no experience with trying such yet but Chrysler recommends them in place of the older style.
  14. These are currently in production, but they are being made slowly and carefully by a one man wrecking crew. Life hits him from time to time and I am waiting on a set from him currently. @CoastChief
  15. Tint just makes the window darker so not all the suns rays and people can’t see in so well but it’s designed so you could see out better than you can see in. My XJ has complete clear glass and does not bear the GAC code for tinted glass.
  16. I hope to have the T-bird running as that car that can take the duty of daily while I try to do other things to Little Red and Chunk like insulation and better rust repair.
  17. Best way is to find someone who can rechrome them and either you or someone paint them black(then scrub the black off the letters). That’s just how I noticed how the nameplates are made.
  18. Seen that happen too. It’s not a bad thing but it takes away from the experience. Absolutely wild. Three toes?! That’s unfortunate but kinda funny. At the rate BSA keeps adding merit badges, it will only take longer for those to get them all.
  19. I did my best to push for the 2012 anniversary of the eagle rank. I fell short of two months into 2013 unfortunately. There was three scouts I know whom all three were brothers and got there’s by the age of 14-15
  20. That sucks. I can’t say for absolute certain but my troop pushed and supported those achieving their eagle and I want to say we help contributed to the plus 1% increase in the national eagle rank achievement. Used to be 4% up until my last two years.
  21. don't feel unworthy, sometimes it happens when you can’t find an active troop. I’ve met a few who wish they could’ve continued but they’re troop stop being active. Hell my troop took on two other scouters who wanted to achieve their eagle but their troop wasn’t being active enough to help them out.
  22. That’s fricken hilarious. I never thought to think it sounds like what’s a hen weigh. That’s awesome. That was the same thing for me when I applied to target was they asked about my Eagle Scout and one of the gentlemen who was interviewing me started talking about scouts and what not. It was awesome but he shortly retired after my first year there. I need to get me a sticker that says that. All I currently have is a AZ BSA license plate. Lol that sounds like the typical stories about philmont. Never been, wanted to go but just did other things that required money else where like NOAC.
  23. Holy crap! That’s amazing. I actually remember hearing about that thing happening too. Was almost like a freak thing that happened. Those were always fun to say. My dad used to say “what the hell away” to remember the pronunciation of the last one. I have yet to set foot in WA water but damn it was cold. I can say it was the fastest I have ever swam in my life when I jumped in.
  24. Hmm. Shows what I know about the trims. So chief is highest for short bed and Laredo is for long beds.
  25. Agreed and thats why I had to ask about everyone on here. Only 5% make it to eagle these days, but thats pretty awesome! I think my neighbor across the street was in the scouts for a little too.
