I had and issue like that back in March. Quickly prompted me to tear everything out, patch up the floor on the drivers side(nice clean frame rail though) and replace the door weather strips. Seemed to have solved my problem after rigorous drenching to see if it would leak again anywhere else before installing the interior again.
  3. That shot makes me want my brush guard more. Almost looks like that commercial with the black MJ in front of a train crossing.
  4. Interesting take on the factory bumper.
  5. I’ve seen a few MJs that had both liner variants and for sale before. Funny you should mention that. The JTs bedliners just say Jeep on them.
  6. Lol. It looks like you have the later style visor. I am unsure of what the connector is for those lights.
  7. Do take a pic of it. Looks like they put on OEM end caps so it could be the factory accessory bumper.
  8. Base. The only bumper that is made aftermarket is the FEY bumper. Bumper deletes would have a license plate light on the panel behind the bumper itself. I would suspect that dealers would just throw on those FEY bumpers back in the day to sell a customer some piece of mind with a rear bumper rather than a bumper delete option unless the customer really wanted that.
  9. Shoot I totally forgot you responded to this. It depends. I have never seen a visor plug on the drivers side, doesn’t mean there isn’t but if you can find the same plug that’s on the passenger side which is a 2 pin metri-pack connector, then I can whip up one.
  10. Neat!! I’ll take a look there too. Already been browsing squarebirds or something like that for a bit.
  11. It’s tempting to want the brackets.
  12. Lol starparts is showing me a much shorter list. It’s a really base sporTruck. I mean being an 87 2.5L with a four speed sends of the really base MJ alarm.
  13. Soon I will be back at this car. Grandparents will be home this week and I’ll be able to spend a weekend over there just wrenching away at that car. Anyone have any tips with the Ford 352’s that I should know?
  14. Ohhhhh yeah. Love me some good AMC anarchy.
  15. Who doesn’t love a good smell of melting electrical.
  16. I’m surprised to see a dash in it with how trashed it is.
  17. Shame. Lol that sounds like someone who wanted a cheap ford.
  18. Poor XJ. Did you grab the name plates at least?
  19. Yeah shipping hurt me on that one but it was a mostly straight bumper with surface rust and couldnt pass up the find.
  20. I think I paid a junkyard about $150 for them to ship my bumper via fedex. Bumper was $200.
  21. I’d have to go down to sky harbor to pick it up as that’s the only grey hound I know about.
  22. I’d almost do the bumper but shipping is gonna suck on that. Although UPS delivered a accessory JT bumper which was a blast from the past.
  23. I think the same exact way as you do. Why buy something when I can make something cheaper at home. Sometimes, especially in the MJ world, its easier to buy something already made than spending a week, weekend or who know how long on something custom when a bolt in option is around. Plus if you drill into the floor and suddenly the rust, if any, just sneaks in and makes a mess, then youll have to patch it along with your custom work. Just helping ya foresee possibilities.
  24. Alrighty everyone, I have some materials left to make some visor harnesses. I am seeing if there is any interest in these as I would not like the materials to just go to waste sitting in my pile of Jeep parts. Shoot me a PM if youre interested as I do not want to post a price on these in the pub and I don't have any intention on becoming a vendor for them either, unless the interest is there.
