What’s bad is my father and I installed mine and it gaps at about the corners of the window but we put in plenty of silicone to prevent leaks.
-
Yes actually the window is pretty dark. That window is about 4 years old now so the tint has been well baked by the AZ sun.

Check my build thread. I have a camper shell on now and can’t exactly get pics of it. All I can say is there is more glass than factory and it sticks out maybe a millimeter or 2 further than the recessed factory glass.
-
Currently installed on my truck. I have no complaints other than the latch might wear out and the slider felt pops out.

Only came in Chrome sadly. Chrome was the thing back in the day and so "blacking" things out wasnt a trend yet.
-
Probably $100. Mostly it’s depending on what someone is willing to pay as anyone wants one of those.

Cherokee had more trim levels in its starting year than the MJ did. Hell Cherokee had a Chief model in 84'. But for whatever reason AMC did the MJ different for trims in its first year. Its honestly hard to say what trim has what distinguishing features as someone couldve gone and ordered a say Pioneer and decked it out as much as a Chief was. Its almost more of "which stripe kit do you want for your truck?"
-
Good way I over came that issue was I took a good strong piece of iron like a broken leaf spring and I found a good place to stick it on the axle and used a jack to help move the axle forward or back ward to help line everything up.

Well, camper is clean and the glass struts have been replaced. Now to let it all dry and keep playing with the electrolysis I have going on. Has anyone ever replaced the screens on a shell before?

how to replace slave cylinder
eaglescout526 replied to Frances hodges's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
This wouldve been something to ask in the tech section but its really easy. Since its an internal slave you have to drop the transmission. The slave cylinder is in the bell house and is held in by a pin and the one hose that is connected to it that goes to the master cylinder. Theres a few videos out there on it and a haynes/chilton or an FSM will help guide you along for the process. -
$5 says we could solve more problems in this country than our politicians lol.

Thats until he puts Honcho decal kit on his.

How does it feel knowing your brother has the bigger Jeep truck?
-
Well for now the shell will be a back burner. I have got to stop putting money in my MJ and more towards the T-bird lol. But the T-bird is mostly there and just requires my attention to go over to where its at. But we will see. I kinda see it with it being red and silver stripes but I can see the XJ thing too. Be the longest wheel base ever for an XJ lol.

Bought a set and these guys only have Comanche nameplates. Probably won't have any others. @carolinajeepman on the other hand has just about every nameplate for the MJ which is fantastic.

I give kudos to anyone who has the solid rear and like it. That sounds like an awesome idea. Much like putting a Jeep header on the wall.

I like where your head is at. I hated pulling the glass the first time(twas OEM and I am still kicking myself on it as it was complete, just the lock was missing until I tore apart the interior and found it) and probably won't pull it again but its the four pane rear window so it should be plenty roomy.

Yeah it will become some sort of comfort space if I ever go camping which probably will happen. This I might be able to actually put some LED strips in, run power and ground and use a factory switch in slot four on my dash board. If you do get to yours Mini and take the glass off, let me know. Not in a big hurry for it as its just the back glass.

What on earth did I get myself into? Lol. This thing is cool. Need to clean and do some adjustments to get it to fit right but this thing will do great for camping and going to the drive in ;). Its missing a rear sliding window. If anyone has some parts for this thing let me know! Otherwise itll remain as is until I go to paint it Colorado Red and do some Pioneer colored stripes around the windows.

I myself have learned with working on other peoples problems that it sucks. I am by far not a mechanic but good under the hood until 2006ish cars. I got great advice from a mechanic who got carpal tunnel for doing it for years. He said "if you like working on other peoples problems, then be a mechanic". If that is something you wish to do, don't let the advice I was given to deter you from doing such. I work at a dealer and deal with techs all the time and listen to the crap they have to go through with peoples cars and what not and some stories are puzzles and mysteries. But it is great learning experience for if and when you need to work on your own cars.

HAHAHA yes! Ok so if yall are skeptical about SEM products, let me tell you this. The plastic vent covers that are on the B-pillar outside on my truck, those I painted with SEM landau black and the sun has yet to fade the color away nor has washing them done anything nor has the paint chipped! I like SEM wayyyy better than rustoleum.

Lol she tells me she does not want my truck to be cursed and kill her. Now the T-bird on the other hand needs a name.

Absolutely love that film. Love the fury too. I saw one off the side of the free way in WA in what was a junkyard and I wanted it but the GF said no and she said no to naming my truck Christine.
