  1. Awesome, appreciate it!
  2. Haha, was just about to say the same thing.
  3. Cool, thank you for the info! Was looking at the tbird calipers that are a bolt in for the ford stuff for better braking. I have to get custom shafts regardless because the rear is a 35 spline 9" and I don't have any up front. So for the chevy outers does it have to be a 8x6.5 or will the JB7 work with a 6x5.5? Problem for me might be the rear as I can't do a 8 lug on the 9.
  4. I'll preface this with it's not going in a MJ, this will be for my WJ build but need some input on some axle building and y'all are a lot smarter here vs the other jeeps pages. I'm slowly gathering parts, currently I have the housing, truss, ARB, lockout hubs. Rest is TBD. The HP44 is the desirable one from 78-79 with 3" diameter and 1/2" tubes. I'll be running 37's and 4.88s. I will be doing the jana 50 conversion(using a d50 R&P), and also chromo shafts. I'm building it for a total adventure rig, need to be able to cruise down the highway right into the rocks to camp and home. My main questions are surrounding the outer bits. First question is for knuckles, I want to run a high steer right now my options are reids or a chevy knuckle that is machined. So Reids or chevy knuckle? I'm, leaning towards reids unless there is another option I'm missing. Second question, I'm seeing with the chevy knuckle is the 6 hole vs the standard ford 5. Does it really matter or is one a better option? Does it matter for brakes and such? Thanks!
  5. After dealing with lights today I can relate. Seriously, don't get how they get so damn tangled. Even made it a point to wrap them nicely.
  6. Thanks for the info. The big thing I'm looking for is mainly those hard to find MJ specific parts. I know a few things are found on a XJ but numbers are dwindling for both so grabbing most is better. Just trying to not be a a full on jeep hoarder but my garage says otherwise.
  7. I was hoping to find a sticky with some info but didn't see anything. I'm going to grab some parts tomorrow from a guy parting out a MJ. Wondering what are all the parts that should be grabbed? I know over the years there are some changes that are specific The ones I know are.... -Tail lights -Tailgate -Rear fender molding -Rear window -Seats and brackets -B pillars -Grills/front clip -Center console -Drill rails -Cab vents -Window regulators -Door cards -Clock -89-90 ECU Some of the bigger and trickier things -Bed -Rocker panel and cab corners -Fuel sending unit -Gas tank -Bumpers Anything still needed to be added? Thing pertinent to specific years? I know there are some sensors and other odds and ends but not sure which
  8. If ya squint it's mint.....
  9. Now down to $600 buy it now. Good deal for someone close.
  10. $700 for a buy it know with Copart fees will be about 1200ish if you have a account. Not too bad considering what's there but only worthwhile for someone close.
  11. Dig the truck! Pretty much what I'm eventually aiming for. My dad is a BFG KO fan boy, has them on every car he owns. Says they get through everything, Best ever, blah blah. I had them on a CJ and a XJ and they sucked in anything other than dry or wet roads. In the CJ they were awful, snow or mud it would constantly get stuck and have no traction, admittedly it wasnt the best tire for the rig though. I admit, I dig the classic look and what I'm looking for when I do wheels and tires but not my first choice for a wheeling tire.
  12. I'm eventually getting to your point and white out is my plan. Think it will look good with turbines and the BFGs.
  13. Came up to the PNW for a little trip, my uncle in law lives on whidbey island so stopped by. Hes a huge car guy which is awesome. Worked years at Fluke as a key person in the automotive space. These are just the of pics snapped pics of. Should have got more but get caught up talking. This is his track hawk and pinzgauer. He's also got a 50 ford custom coupe convertible, 26 model T, 32 model A, a really rare Plymouth business coupe, 37 chevy coupe and a few other cool things.

Came up to the PNW for a little trip with the fam. Staying on Whidbey Island. Had to grab some local brews. All good but by far my favorite was the Kascadia Kolsh. Probably one of the better l, if not tue best, Kolsch styles I've had. Really liked the Uccello Italian puls as well. PFreim lager was exceptional as well, there pils was meh. Great little trip will drip some car pics from my uncle in law in another tread.

Tis the season! Hosting my annual Oktoberfest tomorrow. Feistbier is loaded in the keg, but couldn't pass up the deal on the stein and can. Got a new stump for hammerschlagen ready. Next up is strapping up the lederhosen.
  17. JK "mods" have to be some of the worst....
  18. Yep, can confirm....
  19. Start with a rad flush and new fluid. Check the water pump to make sure it not leaking. Check your fan clutch to make sure its not bad/going bad. What year?
  20. Saw this in local FB. For when you want Jaguar vibes with the same "reliability" at a fraction of the cost......
