  1. The suspense is killing me!
  2. I would start by hooking that hose back up and is the small hose at the back of the valve cover open? They are bad to clog up and cause oil to blow out into the air filter through the hose thats missing. Check your oil filter housing to see if its leaking. You need to clean the engine up and look for the leak. If its that bad it should be easy to find.
  3. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/4078528199.html Could use a paint job.
  4. I don't understand is the picture what you have or what you want? That looks correct to me.
  5. Yes it is....I never even saw that area before tonight. Thanks,
  6. I forgot that you're in Virginia. Do you remember when the Liberty first came out to replace the Cherokee? One of the factory options on the Libby was a set of four off-road lights mounted on the roof. Guess which state did NOT allow that option to be sold within its borders. If you guessed "Virginia," you win the game. Virginia is very strict on lights. But, even if they weren't, I don't know about Pete but I'm not going to go on a public forum and recommend to people that they knowingly break the law. The law is the law. You're going to be making your own wiring harness from scratch. It's not much more work to do it right than to do it wrong, so why not do it right? And then there's the issue of the right kind of lights. Driving lights DON'T WORK as fog lights. If you install driving lights when you want fog lights, you are WASTING TIME AND MONEY AND EFFORT. Just do it right, for Gawd's sake. Get the right lights for the job, and wire them in according to the law. Why are you now so interested in doing it completely wrong, when you started off asking us how to do it right? Actually it was West Virginia that would not allow the lights on the roof. When I did vehicle inspections in WV no lights were allowed to be mounted above the headlights. Not sure about VA.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2013/04/03/co_democrat_doesnt_understand_high-capacity_magazines_can_be_reloaded.html Here is one more from Colorado that needs to go. She doesnt know you can reload magazines or "clips" but shes smart enough to make gun laws.
  8. Today I have noticed that when viewing the FORUM tab you can see where some one has posted under PUB what are you shooting. But when I go into PUB its not visable. Is anyone else having this issue? I have seen this before on other posts.
  9. My rustys 3"AAL only gave me about 1.5" of lift. But with the 3" front springs its still an inch higher in the rear so it sits nice. Each truck is different but I doubt you will see a full 3" with the rustys AAL. I don't have any experience with any other brands.
  10. You can agree or disagree with what happened in the days and years after 9/11 but on that day we were attacked and a lot of innocent people and a lot of our police and fire fighters were lost and that is what needs to be remembered.
  11. I think I have read that the wrangler tcase is clocked different than ours causing clearance with the floor issues, but I could be mistaken.
  12. Pure frickin genius!! Did you use a slide rule? I'm about 99% sure all this mathmatical stuff is 100% bull$#!& regarding your issues with overheating. There is a 12.995 % chance he used an abacus not a slide rule.

    Yep
  14. If you can get the parts for free get them. You may be able to trade for correct parts.
  15. I did ...it was easy.
  16. 1. The rear drive shaft will not work its too short. 2. The front drive shaft may not work because of the difference in transmission length. 5speed vs automatic. 3. The tcase will not bolt onto your 2wd transmission without modifications. You need a 4wd 5 speed transmission. 4. The speedometer drive on the 2000 is electronic your 88 is mechanical. 5. The shift linkage needs to match your transmission as well. Parts of the shifter mount to the side of the transmission. The 2000 may not be the best donor vehicle. If it was a 5 speed and you could get the transmission too then it would help. Also the front axle on the 2000 is a low pinion, it will work but its not the most desirable. I'm sure others will chime in with more info.
  17. Is the 2000 xj also a 5 speed? The rear drive shaft will not work (too short) you will need the have yours shortened.
  18. No problem on that shock mount being like the front. You can push that piece out and then the bolt or stud will go through.
  19. As far as shock mounts go you can use the stock mount just flip them left to right and mount them to the top. This will limit the flex but if you are looking for quick and easy to get on the road it will work. You can always fab something up later for mounts. I have never personally done this but have seen it done. I don't think there are any serious problems other than limiting flex.

  21. I can't add much to the water pump its sounds good. The only experience I have had with a water pump that looks good but was not was on some old John Deere engines after rebuilding the pump and reusing the impeller. When the engine was hot the impeller would start to slip on the shaft and the flow would drop. You could see this when you pressed the impeller off there were marks on the shaft. If this was happening to your pump you may see it on the shaft but you will destroy the pump to find out. On the pumps I was rebuilding its an iron impeller and we always used a new impeller to avoid this. I don't know if this is even possible to happen on your pump but its a thought.
  22. Could your engine have something going wrong with the timing when under load causing the heat?
  23. Oh and termites......
  24. Ok i'll play. Technicality you should only use wood blocks to support things when the are stacking cross grain not with the grain of the wood. It is possible for the block to split in this position. But I see nothing seriously wrong with it.
  25. The Jeep Comanche was released in response to the increasing popularity of pickup trucks in the early 90’s vehicle market, as more people saw pickups are a cheap and useful alternative to cars for transport. I can't believe they created it in 86 to respond to the demand in the early 90s then turn around and drop it in 92!!!
