thanks for the wise insight! I plan on doing a complete master rebuild of the engine and I was looking for some tricks to make more power, so any sugestions is welcome!

The reason I ask is bc I just had the renix head redone and I really hate to not use it. I am just looking for ways to add a little hp and tq to my 87 mj.

And what throttle body should I use?

Will the 99+ intake bolt up to the 87 renix head or do I need to do some modifications to make it work?

I found a bell housing with external on ebay and the trans/tcase mount from novak.com I think the guy planned on putting this trans in a cherokee so he didnt need the bell from the wrangler.

I found a 90k trans and tcase out of a 95 wrangler for $250 and I am wanting to know if it is worth it to buy and what else I will need to invest to get it to work?

you guys have answered a lot of my questions and I thank you! I still have one more, If keep my original block and want to put in a ax-15, I will need a different bell housing and trans mounts correct? If there is more to doing this swap please fill me in, please and thank you! :thumbsup:

Is it really worth the effort to use the new stuff and junk the renix?

I have a 87 MJ with the orginal straight 6 and the non ax-15 5 speed and want to convert it to a 2000 I6 with the ax-15, what do i need to do in order to make this happen? Please help with some guidlines and some steps for this process.
