Ok found a 97 that I can get the parts out of why is it important that I get the computer and wiring harness out of it?

How much of a pain is it to convert the 87 to an automatic?

so i need tranny tcase linkage and driveshafts that might not fit?

I'm guess I'm just looking for the easiest bolt on application with as little modification as possible. The only reason I suggested the 2000xj is cause the parts are free. The motor on it has a blown head. And for the gears I have a buddy with 4:10s for me

The Xj is an automatic. I would love to convert the my to auto but I'm under the asumption that it will be too complicated

I have an 87 2wd 4.0 5speed. I have a 2000 Xj that I can get the parts off but I need to know if the t-case drive shafts linkage ext. ext. will fit. I will be putting 4:10 gears in front and rear. Plede help
