The one in the link is the one you have and it bolts up to your 98 ax15? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Wow. Just what I needed! Thank you so much! I'm going to do my searching for the input shaft on the tcase. I just counted my tcase in the shop and it's a 21 spline so I guess it's time to go shopping. Thanks again! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I searched and couldn't find an actual full parts list. I'm putting in a 1998 XJ ax15 into my 87 Comanche (88 engine wiring) I'm doing a 4.0 swap so I have a 94 4.0 and a 98 ax15. I'm using my 88 engine wiring and sensors onto the 4.0 (cruiser's help) and need to make sure I get the correct parts before pulling the bullet. I'm going to need a 98 clutch kit (probably lux), an 88 renix flywheel, this slave cylinder etc. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1136086&cc=1180213&jsn=1, pilot bushing - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=628303&cc=1309441&jsn=3. What else do I need for this swap? Thanks

I just can't help myself..... '66 GMC project.

Looks good, had a 62 stepside. -
I'm sure it either comes out from the bottom or top of the engine bay. I'm sure there's a bracket on one of the pulleys to loosen the belt. Just look in the engine bay and around the Alternator to see how it's mounted and such.

Bearing looks a little worn to me. I would go ahead and take it to a machine shop. Get the crank turned (If needed) and see if you have a rig on the cylinder walls. More than likely a rebuild is in your future, especially if you have a tick, get new lifters while you're in there. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk -
? I'm using the wiring and ecm from a renix 88 mj into my 2.5 mj. I don't get your comment... the 4.0 out of the 88 needs rebuilt but I don't have the funds right now to spend $1300 for that. So I was asking if I could use an HO in its place.. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

I have ecu and wiring from donor 88 4.0.. I just figured it would be easier to stay renix then do HO. I would only have to do underhood harness instead of interior with 2.5 to 4.0 swap correct? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Ok thanks for the info. I'll try car-part.com and try to find a good renix one. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

My 88 renix motor needs a rebuild badly and I don't have funds for the machine shop right now and I found a 92 HO motor from a cherokee.. He has the harness and ecm. Could I just drop this in or should I swap my renix sensors and stuff to the HO motor and run it that way? Thanks for the advice. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Have a picture of the interior paint you used, or the code? -
I won't, believe me! Time to find a good master rebuild kit..
-
Yes, only heard it run for about a minute. So I wanted to go through it and check over everything. The rod bearings were shot also.

Was doing a head gasket on my 4.0 swap and noticed a big ridge on the piston wall.. so decided to go farther and do bearings. Then I pulled my camshaft out. This is how it looks.. looks like a full rebuild in my future. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
