I was wanting to get some WJ lower control arms and was searching rockauto for some new ones and search for 1999 Jeep grand cherokee 4.0L limited and was wondering if those were the correct ones? Here is the part number if anyone wants to look to make sure DORMAN Part # 520320 Thanks :brows: Mike

Steering column movement

yeah my friend and I did this awhile back.. Took about 3 hours to take apart and put back, but it was our first time doing it. And we didn't feel like taking the whole thing apart so we were able to get atleast 2-3 bolts and just tighten those up and it's much better now. No wobble no more. -
You could probably have a leak somewhere, maybe master or slave cylinder. If it's gunked up I would do a fluid exchange. Just push the pedal, bleed it, then repeat adding new fluid as necessary

Someone on here has a tuffy center console on here... I'm sure it's from a XJ though..

Difference in Valve Covers? (For the 2.5)
87Chief replied to Zenobian_84's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Not yet, my idle was a little rough before it though... I had some blowby, but don't anymore. Plus I didn't have to be so careful about cracking it... I cracked two that I tried to put on since they were so old, so I wanted aluminum and it's much better -

Difference in Valve Covers? (For the 2.5)
87Chief replied to Zenobian_84's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I useda 94 wrangler 2.5 on mine.. I got the little fitting on the side of it that screwed in for the CCV system... It was the vacuum part, and the back of the cover I just got some heater hose from auto zone and a hose clamp and rigged it to the back of the air filter housing.. I got new bolts and washers also, because the old bolts will not fit on the 94's valve cover.. Hope this helped, I did have a picture... It's in my build thread, got the project thread and go to 1987 jeep comanche chief and there are pics there. -
I have not gotten any yet, but I do need to, the bench is after about 2 hours of sitting in it gets very uncomfortable, well every seat does... It might just need new padding.

I will have to go to walmart or get some from work tomorrow.. I finally fixed the wobble in my steering column. My friend and I did tonight, it took us awhile, but it was our first time tackling it... Everything is tight and I'm happy with it. Now I just need to go to the JY and get a ZJ tierod and some new tie rod ends..
-
You can replace the valve cover with an aluminum one from a 87-94 2.5 wrangler.. That's what I did... Was tired of mine cracking. I got new bolts and washers and hasn't leaked yet..

Thanks would that be at a parts store? I've seen the felpro high performance ones.. And that's hilarious about the same jeeps. It's a jeep thing I guess haha

smell of gas in the morning
87Chief replied to crazycommanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had the same problem. I filled up on gas got it full. 2 hours later girlfriend took me somewhere then we cam back where I parked it. Gas all over the ground. Found out my the seal on my sending unit, where the red and black wires go into, was leaking. Probably same thing you have.. -
Where did you get your carpet?

So.. I went to take my exhaust manifold off and the bolts in the front, were very loose. I hardly turned them and they came apart. What would that mean? I'm thinking about taking the whole engine apart and seeing if it is warped. Any suggestions? Thanks
