  1. Now that's funny.....
  2. absolutely on the 2 Renix Jeeps I've done so far, and reports back from one other who noriced the same. seems like it's not worth it on the 91 and later models. Now I need to find an 84 to 86 wiring diagram.......
  3. That would be a great place!! Maybe it IS a Renix thing. Let me know.
  4. Actually, no. I've seen photos of a 95 XJ engine bay and it appears to be similar. Perhaps you could verify or nullify that?
  5. The blower motor's factory grounding point is on the driver side inner fender under the sheet metal screw. This ground is shared with windshield wipers, front windshield washers, rear windshield washers, AC clutch relay, fan control relay, fog lamps, fan motor, headlamps, front turn signals, front side markers, and park lamps. So your blower motor has its ground point 10 feet away from where it is located!! What we’re going to do is leave that ground intact and also ground the blower motor on the passenger side inner fender much closer to the blower motor itself. This will also benefit the other components on the factory ground circuit. Take this opportunity to refresh the factory ground as a matter of course. Here's what I do to get the ground much closer to the blower motor and add another ground point to this overloaded ground circuit. Find the blower motor connector on the passenger side. Red and Black two wire connector. Find a location where the black wire can be made to reach the passenger side inner fender, and cut the wire. You may have to do some rerouting of the harness to achieve this. Take both cut pieces of wire and put them together into a yellow eyelet and crimp. Fasten the eyelet to a place on the passenger side inner fender with a sheet metal screw. There’s probably one on there that you can use. Be sure to scrape the attaching point on the fender to bare metal first. Your blower motor will now turn faster and last longer, and the other electrical components on the circuit will benefit from a better ground path.
  6. Yeah its still too big to fit properly. I took a sledge and massaged it until it would sit flat. The HO you don't need to do anything if you have the white spacer thing from the booster. If not then measure the distance from the hole to the mounting surface and add washers until it matches. For bleeding the system its much easier if you have two people and a home made bleeder bottle. I used a gatoraid bottle (big ones) and some 1/4 tubing I think. Cut a hole in the top of the bottle so the tubbing would fit all the way down. Added some brake fluid to the bottle and used a smaller bit to drill out a breather. Worked great cept for the pissed of wife pressing the brake pedal a million times hahahaha. I'm confused then. I put a 95 to 96 booster on my MJ with the spacer and it worked fine and I put a WJ booster on my XJ without a spacer and trimmed the lip on the firewall to get it to sit flush....
  7. Well, crap. I replaced the worn out box on my 87 MJ with one from an XJ on Saturday. I have 2 parts ZJs in my yard........

  9. Did you notch the firewall seam so the booster could sit flush against the firewall, or do you need to on a 91? ?
  10. I told ya you'd get some good help!! LOL. free to boot.

  12. Triple Webers or Mikunis. Sidedrafts.
  13. Yep. MJ or XJ, they were available.
  14. Eagle, you're being offered one for free and delivered.......by Frank the dog.
  15. Actually, with power mirrors they are what he wants.
  16. Use my TPS adjustment procedure. In my link below. Tip 8. to adjust the TCC switch, simply depress the brake pedal, push the TCC switch toward the pedal and the let the pedal return. Done.
  17. Don't forget to do the Tips in the near future.

  19. cool dog!!
  20. Probably a coincidence. Your CPS can be tested. Click on the link below and go to Tip 7. Since it's an 88, I would complete Tips 1 through 5 thoroughly before doing anything else.

  22. My thoughts. I want pics of the dog.
  23. What's wrong with your throttle body/injector? Dirty? Have you tried using BG44K? I have a complete assembly that's almost brand new, minus the TPS and ISC. Been sitting for years. I also have a manifold with carb.......
  24. Pull the under dash fuse near the TCU first.
