  1. Just do the mod. CAD STINKS The big issue is that the CAD system only fails when you need it the most. Kinda like when you don't realize your wiper blades need replacing until it rains.... I know somebody’s system works and he advocates keeping it stock, but my exposure to the failures is probably hundreds of times greater than his, as a result of being Service Manager at a Jeep dealership from 1980 through 1992, and being a current XJ and MJ owner. CAD stinks. Every Jeep I work on with it, I eliminate it. Guess what I find in the process? 25 year old busted vacuum lines, bloated vacuum line connectors, bad vacuum reservoirs and piping, bad transfer case vacuum switches. In other words, had the person gotten into a sticky situation and needed 4WD, they would have been screwed!!! That's the tip of the iceberg. The factory went through 3 revisions of the shift fork also. The fork issue is non-existent if you just slide it over and leave it. See the link below for complete instructions. Takes less than 1/2 hour. http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/fre...ss-91-a-38629/ ,
  2. Been so long, not sure what the part # was. I do know that I was wishing for one with different inlet outlet diameters. Weird. The hose is the same diameter in the middle...........
  3. When I start parting out the 2 93 ZJs I have, I'm gonna see if I can get that hitch to fit the green MJ in my avatar.
  4. Just jacked up the 3-93 ZJ and turned the steering wheel. About 2.75 turns lock to lock versus 4 turns lock to lock on my 87 MJ. I'll check the 1-93 later.
  5. 1-93 and 3-93 production dates. No letters visible.
  6. Great!! Do you have an O'Reilly's around? They can cross the Napa part number.....
  7. I did 3 of them with no issues at all. Was it the 63745 Moroso or the one with 2 different sizes?
  8. What year trans are you planning on using with it?
  9. In the meantime, try the 703-1396 Napa cap. If that works/helps, look into eliminating the pressure bottle entirely. I prefer the Moroso conversion. Original radiator? And no, the heater valve won't cause overheating.
  10. Make sure your intake manifold bolts are snug and also check the vacuum hoses below the throttle body.
  11. I've got two 93 ZJs I'm gonna part out. How can I be certain whether they do or do not have the quick ratio boxes?
  12. Seems like you already have that feature...........
  13. Rear discs and prop valve guts. Seats.
  14. Swap the hazard and turn signal flashers and see what happens first.
  15. Have you refreshed all the connectors you can see in the engine bay?
  16. An MT2500? I have the factory tester. All I ever use is the State Display feature for the most part. The System Tests leave a lot to be desired.
  17. Start inspecting the connectors from the blower motor back to the power source. Did you check for the actual voltage at the brown terminal on the switch?
  18. No CEL on a Renix. Only way to test an eCU is to try a known good one.
  19. Do the first 5 Tips yourself.
  20. LOL. There's lots of preventative things you can do. Have you visited www.cruiser54.com?
  21. Test it!! Tip 7.
  22. I'm putting together a basic parts list with numbers for this conversion.
  23. And is always the most current version. Tip 3 covers a connector which could be the root of the original poster's issue.
