  1. Correction. The party today was a EEG, Not a Cat Scan. Not sure where the error came from. And was informed I have a Pulmonary Wed..Then have one test after that. Damn well better be the last. I'm getting a little tired of this crap.
  2. Going to do a cat scan on me this time. Thought they did one a week ago but who's keeping count? This makes the 6th test they've pulled on me and they still don't have any idea of what's going on. Cat Scan? For those of you not familiar with the process I'll enlighten you. First they lay you out on this long slab that looks somewhat similiar to the marble slab at the local morgue. Then using either a Sawzall or a cutting torch, depending on how hard your head is they cut the top of your skull off. They then reach inside and remove brain, placing it on a table. Now they bring in the cat. Usually a female but sometimes a tom cat, depending on what's available. After the cat scans the brain they replace it back in the skull and seal it back up. They do these using a 1/8 inch 6013 rod although I've heard some of the more modern facilities are using wire feed welders now.
  3. NO. There is enough room to get to it. The drive shaft makes it a little crowded but there is enough room with out dropping the tank or the shaft.
  4. Nice looking MJ. Congrats.
  5. And yes. Make sure the gas level in the tank is below the hole. 1/2 tank or less.
  6. Remove the sending unit from the gas tank. It can be done without dropping the tank. With the wire hooked up and the ign sw on, move the float up and down. What does the gauge do?
  7. I always liked the response, especially while in the service, "Don't call me sir. I work for a living."
  8. MR? What happened to "Jim"?
  9. It helps take some of the strain off the bell housing. with the engine supports in the middle of the engine, or the very front, and the transmission support being to the rear, puts a strain on the bell housing flange.
  10. I did this a couple years ago. I had a '86 MJ, WO Air, and a '86 XJ W/AC sitting side by side, both 2.5 so it was just a matter of swapping parts. Took most of the day but I wasn't in a hurry so wasn't pushing it.
  11. Cars can be replaced. People can't. Glad you're OK, and that looks repairable to me.
  12. I like Glunblads suggestion. Quite possible and very easy to happen. You get two signals arriving at the speakers out of phase and they cancel each other.
  13. Just the fact that it seems to be bad in all functions pretty well eliminates any input source problems. Not knowing your electronic knowledge or access to test equipment doesn't help. Suggestion. Replace the current setup with another unit. This well tell if the speakers and connections are OK. Just a straight ol AM/FM unit will work. If you have a external amplifier bypass it.and see what happens.
  14. Put on my shoes, grabbed a flashlight , went out and checked. It was, is, an 8. TNX Don
  15. At one time Google was a very useful app for finding things. Due to spam that is no longer the case. Just wasted an hour searching for the following info. What year is a 2.5 Jeep block casting No 3239443, stamped No 406U18? Anybody know? :dunno: :???:
  16. I once switched from a auto to a 5 speed manual. Not knowing what I was doing I put it in backwards. One speed forward and 5 speeds backward can be interesting. I've often wondered what would have happened if I had installed it upside down as well?
  17. My wifes granddad Owned a well drilling business, 3 drilling rigs, 5 1 ton trucks, Half a dozen pick ups, 2 winch trucks, a pulling rig a couple welders and generators and a shiny new Kaiser every year. The only thing he ever owned that wasn't a Ford. He only used Havoline 5-15 in everything. Must of worked because as long as I knew him, never had any engine troubles.
  18. Take a tour thru a military graveyard sometime. Doesn't make any difference if it's in America, Europe or Asia. Read some of the headstones. Note the ages of some of them. If that doesn't make you humble, then nothing will.
  19. A BIG 10-4 to that.
  20. I never saw the Jeep. Just going by what he told me. Better go talk to him and find out. Anyway I still got the parts if anybody wants 'em. These numbers taken from the part itself. 2T 07 13 06 DANA D2002674 W1L1 174 41 10 Dana 2005025 D1 4110 C11 424 RF 2H 09 27 06 DANA D 2004651 P4LB 12 41 10 DANA 2005117 D1 41-10 CIL 444 28 D1 Got no use for 'em. Just want to find somebody that does and get my money back. Can't talk to the guy. Just found out he's in Texas someplace.
  21. Just picked up a complete D44 4:11 ring gear and pinion from a 2007 Cherokee. Trying to find out what years they will fit. Any body know ? Any body want 'em? There in great condition. Fella just swapped 'em out for a different ratio.
  22. I'm thinking maybe they don;t really want to sell. Just want to show their trucks off. OMO.
  23. In some cultures the newly wed couple takes the name of the wealthiest of the two. If the the woman is better off than the man, then they use her name.
